Under the background of the country's continuous strengthening of“ undergraduates foremost ” and accelerating the construction of high-level "first-class undergraduate" education,It is an urgent to cultivate high-quality undergraduate talents.The demand of educational reform makes the research on the capability of scholarship of teaching and learning(So TL)become an important issue.This study is not only a process of theoretical transformation from imported theories of scholarship of teaching and learning into Chinese university teaching practice,but also an exploration to improve the teaching ability and quality of university teachers in the practice of the capability of scholarship of teaching and learning research.This study follows the following logical thinking.By means of theoretical research,the essential properties and practical forms of concepts are explored.By means of qualitative research,the framework structure and components of core capabilities are explored.By means of quantify the research,the core capabilities of the structural model and the impacts of factors are verified.Based on the factors of capability and influence,the localization promotion strategy is put forward.First of all,on the basis of sorting out the existing theoretical and practical studies at home and abroad,three sets of basic concepts,which are relatively abstract,ambiguous,correlated and easily confused,are compared and differentiated with multi-dimension.This paper explores the core concept of "scholarship of teaching and learning" based on the intrinsic characteristics of connotation attributes and the reality based on practice process.Thus we clarify the core characteristics of scholarship of teaching and learning,practice is the essential characteristics,academics is the defining characteristic,publicity is a value feature.And we present the realistic form of scholarship of teaching and learning,the form before teaching is knowledge and idea,the form in teaching is experience and individual,the form after the teaching is achievement and community.Based on the discovery of internal and external dimensions,a concept model of scholarship of teaching and learning is constructed.Qualitative research based on empirical research,this study finds that the capability on university teachers' scholarship of teaching and learning is characterized by categorizations,and presents the difference of inner orientation: the practical orientation of the capability on scholarship of teaching and learning,the professional orientation of the capability of scholarship of teaching and learning,and the integrated orientation of the capability of scholarship of teaching and learning,and three categories have distinguishing characteristics in the four dimensions of value,knowledge,method and communication.In the further exploration of the structure on the core capability of university teachers' scholarship of teaching and learning,it is not a single planar structure.Different specific capabilities have different positions and functions in the overall capacity structure,with different functions and properties,and the whole shows the characteristics of hierarchy from the inside out.Based on this discovery,this study proposes the circle structure on the core capability of university teachers' scholarship of teaching and learning.It consists of six hierarchies: values,emotion,knowledge,method,interpersonal and technical,and each hierarchy contain two or three specific capabilities,the six basic levels comprise fourteen core capabilities in all.And then the four distinguishing features of the structure are analyzed in depth: the stereoscopic feature were present by giving consideration to both hierarchy and specificity of the whole structure;the structural feature were deepen by distinguishing function and status of different capabilities;the cultural feature were emphasized by highlighting values and relationships of social tradition;the times feature were revealed by emphasizing technical elements of development and change.Based on the three principles of importance,universality and typicality,the influential factors of the formation of complex capability were screened,and a systematic explanation framework of two kinds of influential factors was formed.On the basis of the substantial existence of influence the first factor is divided into three influencing factor systems,namely,teacher individual,teacher group and school organization.The second factor is based on the nature of each factor's role in the formation of capability.It can be divided into a factor system of subjective initiative and a factor system of conditional guarantee.On the basis of previous qualitative research,the questionnaire surveys were used to make an empirical study on the core capability of structure and influencing factors of scholarship of teaching and learning.Through exploratory factor analysis of pre-survey and confirmatory factor analysis of formal survey,the structural model of the capability of scholarship of teaching and learning is further verified.Meanwhile,an investigation and analysis on the influencing factors of the capability of scholarship of teaching and learning and the existing problems of the influencing factors were conducted.Finally,the results of previous qualitative and quantitative studies are also discussed.In the survey,it is found that there are no significant differences in the capability of scholarship of teaching and learning level in terms of gender,education background and region,but there are differences in teaching age,professional title and school platform.In terms of specific influencing factors,there are some problems such as low enthusiasm of university teachers,insufficient attention paid by relevant organizations,unreasonable evaluation and management system and insufficient conditional support.Based on the exploration and clarification of the core structure of university teachers' capability of scholarship of teaching and learning and various influencing factors,this study proposes specific strategies to improve the capability of scholarship of teaching of university teachers.These strategies focus on the teacher's concept system,the teacher's knowledge ability system,the teacher's teaching development organization,the teaching and research team,the education and teaching management policy system,and the material and technical conditions of the school.On the whole,through the development and change of the subject himself and the improvement and support of the external environment,the whole capacity of scholarship of teaching and learning of university teachers can be improved.As a result,the educational mission of university can be realized completely and practically.
