With the development of Industry 4.0,"Smart Manufacture" has become the developing direction of manufacturing industry and the automation of production is also improved.The manual work with high load is gradually replaced by machines,and physical works with low load or the management and monitoring work are done by people.In these monotonous tasks,a workers need to maintain relatively fixed postur and also require to keep high vigilance and rapid response ability.The monotonous recurring stimulus make the excitement concentrate in the fixed area.It will soon result in fatigue.Work-related fatigue under monotonous tasks not only involves the musculoskeletal fatigue,but also induce mental fatigue.It will cause an accident.As monotonous job refers to many industries,the study of fatigue caused by monotonous job is not only a practical problem for enterprises,but also an important research topic in the field of human factors and musculoskeletal fatigue.From the analysis on domestic and international literatures on fatigue,there are some achievements about the measurement of fatigue.However,there are few studies on the fatigue from monotonous task,and there are no effective methods for measuring the fatigue under monotonous work.Also it is lack of quantitative research on the factors affecting the fatigue under monotonous work and the influencing mechanism.In this paper,the multi-mode measurement of the fatigue for people engaged in monotonous work in the manufacturing industry was conducted.The work-related factors affecting the fatigue were measured and analyzed.The quantitative effects of working posture and working time on fatigue were studied.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)Study on the method of measuring the fatigue of the operator under monotonous tasks.In this study,based on the current measurement of occupational fatigue method,a tool was developed for measuring the fatigue situation of people under monotonous operation.At the same time,the populations from different industries with monotonous tasks were selected for testing the reliability and validity of the scale.The results show that the scale has good internal consistency and retest reliability,content validity,structural validity,and criterion validity tests are also passed.Therefore,the scale has a good reliability and validity,and it can be used for measuring the wrok-related fatigue of target population under monotonous tasks.(2)Study on the influencing factors of work-related fatigue in monotonous tasks.In this study,through the questionnaire survey,the population of automobile industry with monotonous operation was surveyed in many aspects,such as fatigue status,sleep quality,quality of life,work-related elements and feeling of monotonous.It found that fatigue is a common problem in monotonous tasks.The monotony is an important factor influencing the fatigue,and it is also a distinctive feature of the monotonous work.Besides,working posture and working time are two important factors that significantly affect monotony of workers.(3)The influence of working time on work-related fatigue of workers under monotonous tasks.In this study,working time as one of the important factors affecting work-related fatigue was studied and discussed.In this chapter,the work-related fatigue of shift workers was studied in a 12-hourshift working system.It found that with the extension of working hours,the workers fatigue accumulates and reaction ability and work efficiency decrease.When working in the night shift,women feel more fatigued and sleepy than men.(4)The influence of working posture on work-related fatigue of workers under monotonous tasks.In this study,based on the discussion of the factors of fatigue in the previous chapter,working posture as one of the important factors affecting work-related fatigue under monotone tasks was studied.It found that workers feel more fatigue of neck when standing.When working in a sitting position,they feel more fatigue of back.In addition,the study also found that monotony can significantly affect the operator’s subj ective feeling of fatigue.The research methods used in this paper could provide technical support for the study of occupational fatigue in the manufacturing industry under the background of modernization.The research results will help to reveal the source and influencing factors of occupational fatigue problems in monotonous tasks more comprehensively,and provide important reference value and practical guidance.It is hoped that this study could be used as a direction for the study of occupational fatigue problems,and help the related researcher to find some methods to improve and avoid occupational fatigue problems.
