The current study examines the recent trend towards the provision of enhanced catalog access to imaginative literature. Results of the research include a discussion of theoretical problems associated with the provision of multi-dimensional, subject catalog access to fictional works; an investigation of literary criticism's relevance to the subject analysis of imaginative literature; an analysis of the denotative and connotative topical elements found in a sample of fictional works, and the construction of access points based on the pertinent critical literature. |
