Abstract/Summary:
The dynamic behavior of a mechanical rock bolt system under impact loading is evaluated by establishing a physical model and continuous analytical model of the bolt. Through experimental modal analysis technique and DDS (data dependent systems) method, the modal parameters in both transverse and longitudinal vibrations of the structure were identified. Based on the estimated modal parameters, the related boundary conditions of the bolt system are identified, and an analytical model is established accordingly to describe the dynamic behavior of the system.;Additionally, the effect of torque or tension applied to the bolt on the modal parameters and dynamic behavior of the system are evaluated. The relationship between the applied torque and the resulting tension in the bolt is established. Moreover, the effect of torque or tension on the boundary conditions of the bolt system is discussed.;Through DDS method, the spectrum analysis on the mechanical rock bolt system under impact disturbance were conducted. The results show that the transverse vibration is more dominant than the longitudinal vibration.
