Abstract/Summary:
This study presents a Linear Regression Model approach for developing prediction equations for water-oil, gas-oil, gas-water and gas-condensate relative permeability from experimental data. The Linear Regression Model is one of several statistical methods available and has been chosen in this study to develop relationships between relative permeability and rock and fluid properties. The data for this study were obtained from published Society of Petroleum Engineers' literature as well as from several oil companies and individuals. Improved equations were developed for water-oil and gas-oil systems for varying formations, wettabilities and measurement methods. Additionally, original equations for gas-condensate and gas-water systems were formulated. Finally, the prediction equations are compared with previously published correlations.
