Abstract/Summary:
Data warehouse implementations are an extremely challenging undertaking for any organization. A data warehouse is a subject-oriented, integrated collection of data that provides a repository of information that can be used in support of management decision-making processes. The main objective for data warehouses usage is to allow users to access critical business data by using retrieval methods to produce standard reports for analysis. Data warehouses provide an ample resource for organizations to extract meaningful data to produce reports, predict trends and respond to changes in its various business sectors. The purpose of the study is to explore the process of determining if a business need warrants an organization to implement a data warehouse and to identify the critical success factors of implementation.
