Supply Chain Operational Efficiency Models Of Sustainability For Retailers

With the development of retailing environment and the upgrading of the consumption structure,the retailing has formed new operational pattern.In order to maintain the continuous profit growth,the sustainable supply chain management,which aims at the sustainable development of the three aspects of economy,society and environment,has been paid much attention by academic and retailers.The sustainable supply chain is an important link in the supply chain construction of retailers,which has important influence on suppliers and consumers in supply chain.Organizations with sustainable development potential are able to have more flexible supply chain operating mechanisms than their competitors in the pursuit of balanced development of environmental,economic and social benefits,showing higher performance of supply chain operation.How to evaluate and optimize the sustainable supply chain of retailers and how to improve the operating performance of sustainable supply chain are the key issues in the current theory and practice.Scholars and retailers have gradually integrated the concept of sustainable development into the supply chain management.The mechanism of the sustainable function in the supply chain on the overall operational efficiency has been paid much attention.Based on the research of sustainable supply chain management,this study takes the operational efficiency in retail supply chain as the research object.Combined with data envelopment analysis and quantitative analysis,this study constructs the overall framework and four submodels of the sustainable supply chain operations in retailing,and tests the effectiveness and mechanism of supply chain operational efficiency for the sustainable operations.First,this study constructs the sustainable operation model under the perspective of supply chain collaboration,and analyzes the internal adjustment between the supply chain operations and the sustainable operations.We found that the sustainable operations can affect the supply chain operation performance by supply chain integration.Under the appropriate level of physical flow integration and financial flow integration,sustainable operations have direct and indirect relationship with supply chain performance.Second,from the perspective of technology support,this study considers the operational processes in supply chain to establish the model of supply chain operation performance under the perspective of information technology.We analyze the influence of IT input on the supply chain performance.Third,based on the multi-stage supply chain operational processes in retailing,this study constructs the model of supply chain operation performance under the view of market strategy,and the influence of different external market environment factors on the operational efficiency in sustainable supply chain is analyzed..On the basis of the above,this study constructs the model of sustainable supply chain performance promotion.It is found that information technology and sustainable operations can affect the relationship between the supply chain operations and competitive advantages.Both supply chain coordination and supply chain integration have positive effects on the performance of supply chain operations.Social and economic integration can moderate their influence in a positive direction.In addition,information technology can further influence the interaction between sustainable operation and supply chain coordination.Supply chain operations and sustainable operations have different mechanism to form competitive advantage in retailing.
