Based on a one-year field investigation in the new County town of Beichuan County, this study focuses on the resettlement of Beichuan disaster victims in different places. It analyses the spatial reproduction process of Beichuan people in their daily life and the dynamic "sense of place" resulting therefrom, and understands the "space-place" under a specific background, focusing on the various interactive relationships between the reconstruction of space and the daily life of local residents. This paper consists of four parts: introduction, body, conclusion and reference. The body is divided into five chapters.Chapter 1,"Historical and Geographical Evolution of Beichuan County Town and Urban Spatial Map",roughly combs the regional background and local history of Beichuan County from its historical background, administrative planning, human geography, urban life and so on.By tracing back the history of the space formation of Beichuan old county town,we can show the living environment of Beichuan people in their own state before the earthquake. The Beichuan people who grew up in Beichuan enjoy the common cultural background, local concepts and lifestyles. As the "place" formed in people's daily life practice, the old county town provides the local people with identity, identity and emotional maintenance. The 2008 earthquake made the physical space of the old county town of Beichuan ruins. At the same time,it destroyed the living space of the local people and a very important "place",brought shadows to the life of Beichuan people, and attached numerous uncertainties.Chapter 2,"Gifted Town Space: Planning and Reconstruction of New County Town".This chapter systematically combs and introduces the post-earthquake reconstruction work. The discourse of state power and high-standard reconstruction standard gives itself full authority to undertake space reconstruction with legitimacy, and endows the new County town space with the characteristic discourse of "national cultural characteristics","green" and "science",and the nature of the new County town.Geographical environment, location pattern and urban appearance everywhere reflect a strong "progressive significance",which is in sharp contrast with the pattern of old county towns. To a large extent, the new County space as a product of "de-localization",which is very easy to trigger "space-place" tension. In addition, the knowledge and discourse derived from the state power and expert system also set a framework for the future development of the new County town, indirectly putting forward higher requirements for the urban spatial order and life order, thus making space deliberation and cultural adjustment one of the themes of Beichuan people's future life, which means that Beichuan people who lost their "place"(home)are facing the problem of "place"(home)reconstruction.Chapter 3,"De-localization" and "Re-localization" : The Generation and Evolution of the Space of "Occupying Dao Vegetable Ground".Starting from the phenomenon of Occupying Dao by Hot Spring Road in Beichuan People's Resettlement Community, this chapter discusses how a common illegal consumption space in Chinese society becomes the focus of all parties in the new County town.Around the changes of Zhandao vegetable farm in recent ten years in Xinxian City,it is pointed out that Beichuan people's attitudes towards Zhandao business phenomenon have changed. There are special social mentality and cultural logic behind it.That is to say,Zhandao vegetable farm does not derive mainly from the differences of social consumption levels, nor does it exist only as the consumption space of daily life in local society. On the one hand, the formation of Zhandao vegetable farm is related to the local traditional life "field"(market)culture. Its formation location and its popularity, liveliness and other characteristics are in line with Beichuan people's memory, cognition and imagination about "field".On the other hand, the reason why Zhandao vegetable farm embodies its tenacious "vitality" in the strict planning and management of the new County town is that the space exists as the support of the post-disaster social emotional world, which is not the characteristic of the public vegetable farm planned by the government. In this context,in the urban space governance and local society gradually reached a reconciliation, the occupied vegetable farm in a reasonable and irregular state exists in the new County town, although the "identity" of the space still does not have enough stability, but it can be determined that a new "place" rich in emotional connotation, identity and belonging is emerging.Chapter 4,“Spatial Planning,Images, and Disputes on Use of Earthquake-Resistant Memorial Gardens”.This chapter presents the planning process, usage and image disputes of the post-disaster public memorial space, the earthquake-resistant Memorial park.It explores why the earthquake-resistant Memorial Park has become an important space closely related to the daily leisure and recreational life of Beichuan people, and why it has not become a space for Beichuan people to commemorate earthquake disasters and victims. As far as the planning process is concerned, the process from spatial planning to the completion of the physical building of the earthquake-resistant Memorial reflects the idea of "disaster reduction" and the guiding ideology of pointing to the new life in the future. As far as the use is concerned,a series of activities held in the earthquake-resistant Memorial Park have gradually transformed the public space with the post-disaster Memorial as the leading image into the public daily leisure space. As far as image disputes are concerned, different disaster memories and perceptions between Beichuan people and non-Beichuan people lead to different spatial evaluation of earthquake-resistant Memorial gardens, which shows the special significance of disaster Memorial(sacrifice)in Beichuan people's post-disaster emotions.Behind the image controversy caused by the earthquake-resistant Memorial park, there are differences in the public planning level of urban space and in the cognition of the disaster-stricken groups about the spatial value of memorial(sacrifice),the difference in thinking between traditional sacrifice(belief)and modern memorial(materialistic view of life and death),the realistic contradiction between modern urban space management and sacrificial activities, and the internal conflict between local socio-economic development and disaster issues after the disaster. The above problems make it difficult for Beichuan people to truly integrate the commemorative space and commemorative activities in the new County town. However, many sacrificial spaces opened up in the remote areas of cities and towns become the faces of local governments and Beichuan people.A product of compromise.Chapter 5,"Dance Practice in Square Space and the Formation of Local Community Order".This chapter focuses on the interactive process of Qiang dance "Salang" after being transplanted into the daily life space of resettlement community by local government.Since the reform and opening up,as a symbol of Qiang culture,Salang dance has been introduced by local elites from Maoxian,Wenchuan and other Qiang areas to the old county town of Beichuan.Through adaptation and reorganization,Salang dance has been successfully localized. After the earthquake,as an important national cultural revitalization project injected by the state into the urban space containers after the disaster, with the continuous promotion of the local government, the resettlement communities are equipped with special community squares and staff to train Salang Dance daily training,so that Salang Dance really enters the daily life of Beichuan people.Although the form of Salang dance and its ethnic identity have long been questioned by Beichuan people,in the daily practice of its activities in community square space, the significance of Salang dance as a national culture for Beichuan people has already surpassed the dance itself and turned to cultivate a sense of belonging and a new community moral order for the resettlement community after the disaster, thus making the community square a new one.The new daily life center and the important space in the community governance structure in the county town resettlement community, together with a series of activities related to the daily practice of Salang dance in the community square, have enhanced and shaped the individual's sense of place and cohesion to the community and Beichuan New County Town invisibly, making the local community really become an important reference for people to confirm their identity.By describing the reproduction process of three spaces in Beichuan New County Town, the above chapters discuss the process in which Beichuan people change the tension between "space and place" by defining and affecting the planned space, and thus acquire a "sense of place".Finally, the study pointed out that "local sense" should be considered in urban planning and design, and finally tried to put forward the main components of Beichuan people's "local sense" in the new county.
