ObjectiveBy observing the changes of low frequency fluctuations(amplitude of low frequency fluctuations,ALFF)in the activation area,we studied the activation state of the brain functional area after the stimulation of"Deqi"threshold of Zusanli acupoint pressing in healthy young women.By correlation analysis and regression analysis,we studied the influencing factors of body shape and body shape of healthy young women with"Deqi"threshold stimulation of acupoint pressing.MethodsThe fisrt study:In total,18 healthy young females were investigated.The digital push-pull meter was used to determine the stimulus threshold of acuesthesia by pressing the right side of Zusanli acupoint for three times under preset quantitative parameters,followed by calculation of the mean value(hereinafter referred to as“mean value of stimulus threshold”).The pressure of the“non-magnetic acupressure presser”was set according to the mean value,and the right side of Zusanli acupoint was pressed by using the above-described parameters.Before the compression and 10 minutes after the compression,f MRI was used to collect and analyze the image data of subjects at resting state.The second study:In total,761 healthy young females were investigated.Body composition analyzer was used to collect intracellular water,extracellular water,extracellular water ratio,protein,inorganic salt,body fat,body water content,muscle mass,fat-free body weight,skeletal muscle,height,body weight,percentage of body fat,visceral fat area,waist-to-hip ratio,BMI and age all of which were taken as independent variables,followed by correlation analysis and ridge regression analysis with the mean values of the left and right side stimulus thresholds,respectively.The five above evaluation indexes of body type were used as independent variables,and the mean values of left and right stimulus thresholds were examined by correlation analysis and principal component regression analysis.ResultsThe f MRI image data were successfully detected from 17 healthy young females at resting state before intervention and 10 minutes after the compression(one case was removed due to head movement during the scanning).As a result,four ALFF with more than 20 activation clusters with differential continuous voxel were obtained(P<0.001),including the right gyrus lingualis,the cortex around the right calcarine fissure,the left posterior central gyrus,the left anterior central gyrus,the right posterior central gyrus and the right anterior central gyrus.Additionally,the ALFF values of all four activation clusters were significantly decreased compared to those before intervention.The evaluation indexes of body type and stimulus threshold were detected in 761healthy young females:body weight:(53.9±8.1)kg,BMI:(21.0±2.9)kg/m~2,WHR:0.83±0.04,PBF:(27.1±5.7)%,VFA:(57.6±21.1)cm~2.Mean value of left side stimulus threshold:(47.1±13.1)N,mean value of right side stimulus threshold:(53.0±13.9)N(P<0.05).The mean value of left side stimulus threshold was positively correlated with the five evaluation indexes of body type(P<0.05).The mean value of right side stimulus threshold was positively correlated with the five evaluation indexes of body type(P<0.05).The body composition index was determined in 761 healthy young females:intracellular water:(17.7±1.9)L,extracellular water:(10.8±1.1)L,extracellular water ratio:0.379±0.005,protein:(7.7±0.8)kg,inorganic salt:(2.8±0.3)kg,body fat:(14.9±5.2)kg,body water content:(28.5±3.0)kg,muscle mass:(36.6±3.9)kg,fat-free body weight:(39.0±4.0)kg,skeletal muscle:(21.1±2.4)kg.The mean values of bilateral sides of stimulus thresholds o were positively correlated with intracellular water,extracellular water,protein,inorganic salts,body fat,body water content,muscle mass,fat-free body weight,and skeletal muscle(P<0.05).Ridge regression analysis showed that extracellular water and body water content were independent influencing factors of left and right sides of stimulus threshold values(P<0.05).Combined with regression coefficient>0,the increase in extracellular water or body water content would cause increase in the mean value of the left and right sides of stimulus thresholds.BMI was an independent influencing factor for the mean value of the right stimulus threshold(P<0.05).Combined with regression coefficient of>0,increased BMI would also result in increased mean value of the right stimulus threshold.Conclusion1.The aftereffect of Zusanli acupoint pressing"Deqi"threshold stimulation is closely related to the movement control,somatic sensation and visual processing of healthy young women,which may be one of the central mechanisms of stimulating human self-regulation ability and biocontrol and disease prevention at Zusanli acupoint.2.The change of water or body shape in healthy young women will lead to the change of threshold stimulation pressure value of"Deqi"in Sanli acupoint pressing,which provides a certain reference basis for the palpation of meridian and acupoint for occult abnormal diseases of water and lipid metabolism. |
