Objective: To develop Implantable artificial facial nerve in vitro management workstation,this management workstation in vitro,which is based on normal computer,can completely transparent wireless display the working state of the implanted each part,and carries on the control.Animal models were built to implant with the human facial nerve system to evaluate the communications in vivo and in vitro.Methods: 1、 Experimental animals: Healthy New Zealand rabbits(permission number: SCXK(Shanghai)2012-0007),animal housing license: SYXK(Shanghai)2009-0086).2、 Developthe wireless communication system of the artificial facial nerve system.Complete the communication system of the artificial facial nerve system,using the MCU chip(CC1110)combined with wireless facial nerve development of communication system,using 433 MHz FSK communication mode.Embedded the chips with high biocompatibility materials and test the electromagnetic field of the chips when communicating to evaluate the safety of the communication system.3、 Research on the function of display and control the implanted module by the wireless communication system.The artificial facial nerve system was embedded into 10 cases of facial nerve paralysis rabbit animal model,to establish the communication links in vivo and in vitro,display and control the working state of the data flow of each node in the body through the transparent management workstation.The system implanted into the animal models and operation for one month,to test the display and control function of the transparent management workstation in vitro,observed the accuracy and the precision of the workstation,to evaluate the long-term stability and effectiveness of communication system.4、 The role of the stimulation signal features in the evoked closing-eye movement by the orbicularis oculi muscle of facial paralysis animal.Further development was made on the artificial facial nerve chip,and the stimulus frequency of the stimulation was expanded.Stimulate the orbicularis oculi muscle of the peripheral facial paralysis with different stimulation frequency,wave width and current intensity to rebuilt the function of the affected orbicularis oculi muscle.Find out the suitable parameters for electrical stimulation signal.Results: 1、 Combined the the communication module into the implantable artificial facial nerve chip to establish stability and in vitro management workstation.The electromagnetic field when the in the communication situation is within the field of the national safety standards.2、 The transparent workstation in vitro of the artificial facial nerve system can reflect the contralateral muscle electricity situation at the real-time.The artificial facial nerve system can adjust the stimulus intensity,frequency,pulse width of the control chip through the transparent management workstation in vitro.The stimulation intensity parameters of the artificial facial nerve system were adjusted every three days after implantation.There were no significantly statistical differences between the stimulation current intensity of the day embedded in with the 30 days after embedded.3、 The stimulation current intensity raised as the the exciting frequency fell,the degree of decline was significant reduction at 60 Hz and higher frequency.The total charge of the stimulation is proportional to the stimulus wave width100μ s.Conclusion 1、 The artificial facial nerve system was implanted into the animal model of the peripheral facial paralysis for 30 days.During this period of the 30 days,the transparent management workstation in vitro can reflect the working situation of the artificial nerve chips,control the working pattern and adjust the stimulating current intensity,the stimulating frequency and the wave width and other parameters real-time.The artificial facial nerve system implanted worked stable in the animal models,operated stably in the anti-interference test,and the radiation field strength when communication was at the safe range of the national standard.2、 It is a suitable stimulating parameters when the stimulate wave width is 200 μ s,the stimulating frequency is 60 Hz.At this stimulating situation,we can use a smaller stimulus current intensity to achieve a good effect of the orbicularis oculi muscle when closing eyes.
