| Purpose: To observe the efficacy of manipulation combined with TCM acupoint application in the treatment of pediatric anorexia(type of qi deficiency of spleen and stomach),following it up the principle of randomized control,so as to provide a safe,standardized and effective comprehensive treatment plan for the prevention and treatment of this disease.Method: In clinical,120 children who met the diagnostic criteria,inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were randomly divided into treatment group(manipulation plus TCM acupoint application group)(40 cases),manipulation group(40cases)and TCM acupoint application group(40 cases).The treatment group:(1)manipulation therapy approach: using multiple manipulations such as pushing,pressing,kneading,pinching and grasping.Mention to the acupoints applied in the treatment group,Pijing,Shenjing,Banmen,Neibagua,Sihenwen,Zhongwan RN12,and the spine.Operation: operate tonifying Pijing,tonifying Shenjing,kneading Banmen each three min.Following by the operation of arc-pushing Neibagua,pushing Sihenwen,kneading Zhongwan RN12,each min.While with pinching spine from the bottom to the top amount five times,pressing the acupoint on Pishu BL20,Weishu BL21.Every ten days as a cycling treatment.(2)Ingredients of TCM acupoint application:Radix Aucklandiae muxiang 50 g,Rhizma Macrocephalae Biazhu 50 g,Rhizma Atractylodis Cangzhu 50 g,Cortex Cinnamomi rougui 50 g,Fructus Piperis baihujiao 30 g,Flos Caryophylli dingxiang 30 g and Radix Codonpsis Pilosula dangshen 30 g.Operation: powdering previously prescription until extremely fine and well combined and then putting enough Vaseline with ginger juice to become paste.Finally,apply to the TCM paste on the sterile wound dressing and stick it on Shenque four hours a time.Once every two days,a course of treatment is seven times.Manipulation group: the massage therapy and the course of treatment were the same as them in the treatment group.TCM acupoint application group: herbs application and the course of the treatment were the same as shown upon the treatment group.After one course of treatment,compared to observe the characters of manifestation of the safety,clinical efficacy and symptoms on signs of each group.The following quiz during six months,compared the changes of height and weight among groups.Results: Clinical effectiveness observation: the cure rate,effective rate,effective rate and total effective rate of the three groups were: treatment group: 70%,17.5%,10%,97.5%;manipulation group: 47.5%,22.5%,12.5%,87.5%;TCM acupoint application group: 45%,20%,20% and 20%.The treatment group,compared with other two groups,its cure rate and effective rate had significant difference(P<0.05).The difference in the comprehensive score of symptoms and signs before and after treatment were: treatment group 12.86±3.40;manipulation group 11.80±3.77 and TCM acupoint application group 11.40±3.62.There was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the integral difference between the treatment group and the other two groups before and after treatment,indicating that the curative effect of the treatment group was much better than that of the simple manipulation group and the pure TCM acupoint application group.(1)Safety comparison: three groups of methods did not have adverse reactions during the treatment process.(2)Observed the clinical curative effect: the growth of weight and height after 6 months of follow-up,the comparison difference was statistically significant in the treatment group between the other two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: Manipulation combined with TCM acupoint application is proved to be one of the efficient methods for the treatment of pediatric anorexia(type of qi deficiency of spleen and stomach.)With the advantages of its significant curative effect and lower long-term recurrence rate,this treatment is worthwhile to be promoted and to be applied in clinics. |
