Research On The Life And Clinical Experience Of Liu Fuqing And Liu Ying

Liu Fuqing and Liu Ying were famous TCM doctors in Santai Area Sichuan Province as well as scholars in Qing Dynasty.Liu Fuqing collected essence of theories from others famous doctors,and summarized his own Clinical experience in his senior age,in order to write a book named Yi Lu Bian Lan,but he didn’t finish it and died.His so Liu Ying continued to write this book and finish it.Ying discussed very deep problem in this book,and what’s more even made some invention.Liu and his works occupied an important position in the history of medicine in Sichuan,but now the study for them is almost blank no matter at home or abroad.So it is worth studying,learning and inheriting.In this thesis,the main research object is San Tai Liu Shi Tian Lu Tang Zong Pu and Yi Lu Bian Lan,the method is mixed with Literature,history,the theory of traditional Chinese medicine research.Reading ancient Chinese literature,the ancient local records,the history books,visiting Liu’s descendants,I collected a large number of relevant information,in order to find Liu and son’s life,culture background and teachers,and study their academic origin and clinic experience.Through the study of Liu’s family tree,we find attached great importance to cultural education,they were Confucian family.Liu Fuqing,Liu Ying affected by the family atmosphere,they began to learn Confucian very early.Then we analyze the deep reason why they changed to be doctors.In the book Yi Lu Bian Lan,Liu explained other medical masters’ theories with his understanding,and there were some unique ideas.Medical records in this books show us differentiation treatment is very good,what’s more herbs and formula is distinct.This thesis discusses Liu’s academic theory and clinical experience on diagnostic method,formulas,internal medicine,external medicine,gynecology,pediatrics.To some extent,this thesis can complement and enrich the content of the medical literature studies,provide useful lessons for Chinese medicine theory and clinical treatment.Organizing,summarizing,researching these literature with distinct regional characteristics will facilitate the work of Liu and related research,making future generations can learn about maximum relevant information of development of traditional Chinese medicine in Qing Dynasty,Sichuan Area.And also this thesis can provide full and accurate materials for studying TCM in Sichuan.
