During the recent years,with the rapid development of social and economy,the children’s health has been significantly improved.However,the market transformation brought the transformation of the social welfare system,shaping the structure of the welfare system for resource allocation and changing the opportunity of the children’s health,and ultimately divided the children’s health.Therefore,from the respective of the social exclusion theory,social citizenship theory and welfare triangle theory,this paper tries to investigate rural children’s health production mechanism and path.Based on criticizing reality,the paper tries to discuss some issues,such as the rural children’s nested social citizenship,the opportunity structure of health inequalities and so on,in order to provide references for the development policy of rural children.Based on quantitative research,this paper’s data were collected through questionnaires.Based on the analysis of the CHNS data,the paper draws the following conclusions:urban-rural inequalities in child health have different performance in different provinces,in higher social exclusion province,the urban-rural inequalities in child health is significantly,while in the lower social exclusion province,the urban-rural inequality does not exist.Overall,compared with urban children,the health of the rural children has obvious disadvantage health.This is due to the rural children’s health in’ higher social exclusion province are significantly lower than the same provincial urban children.This phenomenon is related with this kind of children’s nested social citizenship,which means have rural-urban and provincial social citizenship.Thereby those children face a higher degree of economic exclusion,the national welfare institution exclusion and social relationship exclusion.Three types of social exclusion through the impact of health resources for children,health behaviors,psychosocial conditions,medical and health service resources,child care,and ultimately produced the children’s health disadvantage.This paper puts the health of rural children in social citizenship,social exclusion and health inequalities research framework,this kind of analyze is different from the current major health inequalities study,which focus on the structuralism explanation.But this paper focuses on the institutional structure,which produce the rural children’s health.Social exclusion provides an institutional opportunity to explain the relationship between socioeconomic status and health inequalitiesSecond,this article integrates social citizenship and social exclusion theory.On the one hand,the integration of the theory can explain how social citizenship can affect the health;on the other hand,this can expand the explan of the social influence on children’s health.Third,this paper found that the social citizenship of the rural children in China are changed from a single identity to urban and rural social citizenship and provincial social citizenship,offers a new starting point for the research of market transition theory.All in all,under the background of market and the welfare system transformation,integrating social citizenship and the theory of social exclusion is an important analysis of health inequality research perspective.
