Information-Centric Networking(ICN)will shift the traditional paradigm of hostcentric to content-centric,and solve many issues of the Internet from the perspective of network architecture, such as inefficiency of content delivery, insufficient support of mobility, security, etc.Meanwhile, the proposal of ICN brings opportunities to many issues, including the traditional interdomain business relationship, interdomain traffic engineering, content delivery, etc.Specifically, how to stimulate ISPs to store more contents, support QoS and interdomain multipath services by changing the traditional interdomain business relationship;how to consider the strategy of content replication and the strategy of interdomain traffic engineering together;the main focus of content delivery in ICN is optimizing the distribution of contents rather than mapping contents to locations or load balance. The main research issues and innovative points of this thesis are as follows.1.We propose a business model based on Supply Chain Management. The business model will change the hierarchical model of the traditional Internet,in which lower level ISPs pay higher level ISPs for transit traffic,to a chain model,in which content requesters pay content providers. It suits the content-centric feature of ICN very well.Theoretical analysis shows that ISPs have economic incentives to store more contents when using the business model based on Supply Chain Management.Simulation results show that the AS hops of inter-domain routing can be reduced by 47% at most, and the cache usage of ISPs can be increased by 28% at most when using the business model based on Supply Chain Management.2.We propose an algorithm of joint optimization of content replication and interdomain traffic engineering. In the traditional Internet, content replication and traffic engineering work at the application layer and the network layer respectively, and they are usually managed by different providers. However,in ICN networks, which focus on contents, they both work at the network layer. As a result,ISPs have the global knowledge to optimize them simultaneously.Simulation results show that the average profit of ISPs can be increased by 66%,and the average link usage can be reduced by 23%when using the algorithm of joint optimization of content replication and interdomain traffic engineering.3.We propose an algorithm based on the inventory management model.Different from the traditional Internet,ICN networks can support many content-based features inherently, such as the nearest replica routing,in-network caching, load balance, etc. Therefore, the content delivery mechanism in ICN networks can fully leverage these features of network layer and focus on optimizing the content placement strategy dynamically.Simulation results show that the average cost and link usage of the inventory management based algorithm can be reduced by 52% and 15% respectively compared with the baseline algorithm.
