Literature And Clinical Studies On The Traditional Chinese Medicine Differentiation And Treatment Of Sores Perifocal Area Based On Data Mining

Objective: To investigate the change rules of syndrome, the impact of factors, external treatment of herbs and the compatibility laws of Sores Perifocal Area. Then to attempt to preliminary maping out the Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) differentiation and treatment scheme of Sores Perifocal Area.Methods: Reference for the evidence-based medicine concept and modern computer technology, to analyze the ancient literature before the republic of China, modern literature of Sores Perifocal Area about TCM differentiation and treatment in nearly 21 years and the clinical data from 257 cases which hospitalization in the peripheral vascular department in the affiliated hospital of the TCM of Shandong University within nearly 5 years by using frequency statistics, clustering analysis, association rule,factor analysis, and other modern data mining methods. Then data system was constructed for the study of differentiation and treatment,and influence factors.Results:(1)Syndrome of dampness-heat, blood stasis with predominant dampness, blood stasis, qi-blood deficiency, yang deficiency of spleen and kidney were the common syndromes of Sores Perifocal Area and the first three were basic syndromes; Dampness, heat, blood stasis, qi deficiency and spleen deficiency were the common factors of syndrome.(2)The variation pathogenesis of Sores Perifocal Area was a complex process. Its main pathological basis was damp-stasis accumulation which run through the process from beginning to end in Sores Perifocal Area. The syndrome of sthenia manifested in heat,dampness as well as blood stasis. The syndrome of asthenia manifested in deficiencyof qi, blood, spleen yang and kidney yang. The diagnosis scheme of basic syndrome of Sores Perifocal Area were constructed.(3)The common external treatment methods were encircling lesion with drugs therapy and plaster therapy. The common external treatment herbs of Sores Perifocal Area which represented by golden cypress and rhubarb were antipyretic and drug for activating blood circulation and eliminating stasis. Four characters of external treatment herbs of Sores Perifocal Area were cold, warm and mild; five tastes were sweet, bitter and pungent;as for channel tropism, more drugs entered heart and liver channel.(4)The principle of external treatment of Sores Perifocal Area were heat- clearing and detoxifying, activating blood circulation and eliminating stasis, decreasing swelling to relieving pain, detoxication and tissue generation,etc. Jinhuang powder, Tiegu powder, zhenzhusan, and shengjiyuhong plaster were representative of TCM prescriptions.Conclusions: There are many hidden contents of Sores Perifocal Area differentiation and treatment in the TCM surgical literature. The Sores Perifocal Area differentiation and treatment system can be established by the data mining.
