The ideological and political education is focus on people’s spiritual world. It hassimilarities with philosophy or culture. There are two kinds of functions since ancienttimes. The one is In the pursuit of truth and constructing knowledge, the other hand isfor nourishing the soul and happiness. Philosophy in the treatment of soul nourishingfunction is similar to the body. Many western philosophers parable for the treatmentof the soul. Chinese philosophy contains rich resources of the treatment of the soul. Itcan provide comfort and make a diagnosis, and give treatment for people’s mentalconfusion. At present, academia mainly stay in elaborating the basic principles ofConfucianism, Taoism and Buddha thought. They lack of applying the abstractprinciples to the practice of ideological and political education.Study of Chinese traditional culture on college students’ ideological and politicaleducation and the relationship between and heart health care is a new trend.
