The second chapter briefly describes the cultural change of Qinghai natural environment and social environment, intended to emphasize the special nature of changes in their environment and historical context,in which the natural environment is not only the base of cultural change but also the important content. This form can be described by the extent of the Tibetan population settlements and some standards in different Tibetan such as livelihoods, use of language, marriage customs of inheritance, temple sect, Monk-scale and so on. At the same time, regional differences for cultural change have also brought diversity of cultural circle. This is the Tibetan culture, "it is the process that can adapt to rapidly changing features".That reflects the adaptation of Tibetan culture and specialty of modernization. The author advocates that we should cautiously give the goal of cultural modernization and review Qinghai Tibetan cultural change from a combination of traditional and modern culture. To discover, different spheres of Tibetan modern culture are connected at both ends of baseline, but not replaced.
