Zheng’s representative opinion is that vital yang and vital yin is the foundationa basis for body activities, and the vital yang is the motivity of life that should be valued. However. Zheng’s diagnosis of yang deficiency syndrome is strictly confirmed, with clear evidences involved the tongue and pulse. Zheng holds that yang deficiency syndrome exist in all diseases. which should not be interpreted as solo yang deficiency syndrome for any disease nor for treatment. Furthermore. Zheng explained the diagnosis and treatment for others syndromes. His outstanding opinions imply that not only but all other diseases should be recognized on syndrome differentiation, concept of wholism and integration of four diagnostic methods. Thus, thorough studying and objective assessment on his knowledge for ear-nose-throat diseases is essentially important for development of Chinese medicine and improvement of therapeutic effect in the clinical practice. |
