The Construction Pattern Research Of Vernacular Architecture Of Southern Hunan Areas Below Of Regional Resource Constraints

The vernacular architecture in Southern Hunan is spontaneous construction, its main characteristics is the homogeneous adaptations to specific particular natural environment and local culture. The various building forms in different areas are the results of correlation of the natural conditions and cultures, which were shaped over a long time. The most important factors of shaping and evolving are the regional unique climate, topography, water resources, building materials, and culture, etc. The main research details are as follows:First of all, according to the characteristics of soil, water, building materials, climate resources and cultural ideas in southern Hunan, we studied the relationship between the regional resources and vernacular architecture in southern Hunan. Given the premise of the detailed analysis on the natural and cultural resources in southern Hunan areas, we explored the synergy between the conditions of southern Hunan soil, water, climate, building materials plus culture concepts and the location, layout, monomer construction of local architecture in southern Hunan; meanwhile, we make a conclusion of southern Hunan vernacular construction wisdom according to analysis on differences between vernacular architecture of southern, southwest and northern part of Hunan province. Furthermore, we studied the development patterns of southern Hunan vernacular architecture and formation mechanism based on the conditions of regional resources in southern Hunan.Secondly, against the background of the same regional resources and cultural, southern Hunan vernacular buildings show some kinds of common features in their interior and exterior space. We analyzed those common characteristics one by one, combining with the characteristics of the vernacular architectural form of southern Hunan under the background of regional natural resources and cultural background. That is, we draw a conclusion on its construction model on the macroscopic settlement level and microscopic single building level. Based on the analysis of regional resources in southern Hunan, we explored the wisdom of gene of southern Hunan vernacular buildings, and make an extraction and induction of them similarity of southern Hunan vernacular architecture in the macroscopic and microscopic perspective. Following the patterns of reproducibility, regional particularity and schema extraction, we generalized and refined regularly the regional environment conditions which southern Hunan vernacular architecture depends on and the experience accumulated over the years, and showed 13 kinds of typical construction pattern of southern Hunan vernacular architecture.Last but not the least; combining with the analysis of construction patterns, we discussed the transformation and reconstruction of the southern Hunan vernacular architecture.
