Low oxidation air foam-injection flooding is a enhanced oil recovery technology which reduces oxidation of air foam but improves applied security. It is a technology worth of popularizing because it not only keeps the mobility control of foam flooding but compared convention gas drive still has a certain cost advantage. Low oxidation air foam-injection flooding is similar to nitrogen foam-injection flooding, it’s seepage laws depends largely on reology behavior. On the macro scale foam system can be treated as a continuum medium, however, there are some difficulties such as wall slippage effect, yield stress which bring obstacles on research of reology of foam. The indoor research stay only on the basis of qualitative analysis, measured parameters also can’t use in quantitative description of the macroscopic seepage field.In view of these, this paper summarizes the foam flooding rheological properties and stability characteristics on the basis of extensive research literature at home and abroad, and combines the relevant methods to eliminate the slippage effect, which can be help of studying the reology properties of foam system more clearly, and analyzes the stability of three-phase foam system on the basis of the distribution characteristics in bubble plateau area, drainage ability of oil-water mixture, crude composition. This paper also study the foam displacement by core flooding experiments which put the emphasis on plugging performance and oil recovery but also oxidation properties. In order to make the indoor experiment results can be used in filed, this paper digitizes the CT core scan images through Visual C++and MATLAB programming software and establish foam flooding mechanism model by the Star module in CMG. This method compare and fit the indoor experiment result and simulation which can ensure the accuracy of the thermal dynamic parameters. With the target reservoir, this paper also design the numerical simulation about foam flooding for development program.Research results show that the elimination of wall slippage effect and research on the stability of three-phase foam system is important for foam rheological and thermal dynamic characteristics. The seepage rule of foam is related to its thermal dynamic characteristics and rock structure when it is in porous media. It will improve the accuracy of the numerical simulation of foam flooding by the method fitting the foam flooding step by step with the experiment results of numerical core. Overall low oxygen air foam flooding is an efficient, flexible technology. It’s of great significance to EOR to deepen the understanding of foam system and improve the accuracy of simulation technology.
