The environment that enterprises depend on has changed fundamentally in the 21st century of new economic era. Internationalization of the domestic markets and localization of the international markets make every enterprise have to face intense market competition, and how to survive and develop is a big issue for every enterprise.Resources can flow at the global level in an open market environment, and more and more enterprises optimize the allocation of resources through integration strategy by enhancing their integrative capabilities to consolidate their competitive advantages. The activity of integration is the most important factor to the growth of modern enterprises, and enterprise integrative capability (EIC) has been the basic element for an enterprise to win the competition. This paper, by synthesizing theories of enterprise strategy and integration and from the perspective of strategy, will research the enterprise resource integration (ERI) process and integrative capabilities and analyze how an enterprise achieves the accumulation of its own resources and enhances competitiveness through integrationto win the competition.Firstly this paper defines the concept and the basic issues of integration andanalyzes the differences in competitiveness among enterprises from three angles that are the integration units, integration models and integration tools, on the basis of which, equivalent effect surface of integrative innovation is established. Then it is elaborated about partial & overall integration and performance of ERI in different stages of the growth of the enterprise. Finally, the composition of EIC is analyzed and its comprehensive evaluation index system is constructed with case studies. The main research results of this paper are following:1. The framework of "seven elements" of integration is put forward. The basic factors that influence integration include the integration of goals, subjects, units, models, tools, condition and environment . The process of integration means that under the guidance of the established integration goal, based on certain integration conditions and environment, the subjects make use of certain integration tools to optimize units, through some models.2. The concept of ERI is raised according to the resource theory and integration theory, and it is illustrated that ERI makes it possible for an enterprise to acquire durable competitive advantages. This paper explains the categories of resource under the background of integration, it also illustrates that the difference among integration units, models and tools can directly lead to the difference of enterprise competitiveness. Moreover, it is the direct cause of enterprise competitive advantagesand an integration function is built following Cobb-Douglas production function. To obtain long-lasting competitive advantages, an enterprise still has to rely oninnovation in that the integrative innovation is highly effective. This paper shapes the model of integrative innovation that consists of the trinity of integration units, models and tools, and the equivalent effect surface of integrative innovation.3. Which resources are advantageous or pivotal can be found by the method of gray correlation analysis in order that enterprises can acquire and control these resources in time. Partial and overall integrations of enterprise resources are compared under the strategic guidance; meanwhile, the theory of integration is applied to analyze performance of ERI in different stages of the enterprise growth.4. EIC plays a key role in winning market competition and formulating strategy. It is the origin for an enterprise to acquire competitive advantages, while R&D capability, production capability, marketing capability and logistics capability are the direct causes of the competitive advantage but not the origin. The features of EIC are of origin, duration and innovation and EIC is made up of capabilities of strategic matching, resource searching, resource aggregating, resource absorbing, resource optimizing and integrative innovating. The comprehensive evaluation index system of EIC is constructed based on these aspects and the measures of improving it are brought out which are the organizational learning and integration platform construction. In the end, this paper conducts case studies on the evaluation of EIC based on the case of FSDI (China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Ltd.), and it proves preliminary realistic instructive significance of EIC to the business.
