With information and economy intensified and globalized, studies of the theory of virtual team have become a frontier topic in the area of management and business. It is very important both in theory and application to make a thorough study of the management issues of virtual team. Based on the team theory, fuzzy theory and game theory, this dissertation makes both theoretical and empirical studies of the aspects about the concept of virtual team, organizational construction, choice of partners , profit sharing and distribution and performance management, etc. Finally, some conclusions are drawn accordingly.Based on related existing researches, a relation between virtual team and virtual enterprise or virtual organization is expounded and concept of virtual team is defined at the beginning of this dissertation. An emphasis is put on a cooperative relationship between enterprises in this dissertation.The internal and external environment for modern enterprises is analyzed, and a deep discussion is made about the technique foundation and communication platform for a virtual-team. By analyzing the organizational character and organizational construction, a theory of life cycle of virtual-team is brought forth.After discussing dynamic indices to choose partners, a new comprehensive method for selection of partners based on incomplete information is proposed, and, to perform the new method, weight factor judgement table method, a fuzzy model based on risk factor, and genetic algorithm (GA), are introduced.A mode of profit distribution among virtual team members on basis of classified partners is proposed in this dissertation. Nash Bargaining Model is put forward for core partners, and principal-agent theory is applied to general partners. Furthermore, to promote cooperation among of virtual team without the principal or supervisor a mechanism is analyzed based on game theory.By using the balance score card, performance appraisal system of virtual team is set up, and a fuzzy-AHP model is provided to complete it. In this dissertation, a fundamental framework of alliance capability is proposed and its intrinsic mechanism of promoting performance of firm alliance and virtual team is given.Finally, a case study is carried out based on the theory and method studied in this dissertation. Result from the case study shows encouraging applications to practice.
