Job analysis is the foundation of enterprise human resource management. Because of the limitations of hypothesis system, traditional job analysis methods are not satisfied with the requirements of dynamic environments to which enterprises orient. Therefore, a new method is needed to improve the traditional job analysis methods to be more predictable and flexible. The development of Artificial Intelligence leads the qualitative simulation technology to be served as the new method. In this paper, complexity and dynamic of enterprise management environment, complex system qualitative modeling and qualitative simulation methods are discussed. The difficulty of traditional simulation methods applied to complex management system is also discussed. Casualty and QISM algorithm were integrated to design qualitative simulation method for job analysis, which was used to simulate dynamic processes of enterprise management position responsibility, manager competency, competency-position fit (C-P fit) and manager competency development.Enterprise management position responsibility has many kinds of classification. The classification of management responsibility, oriented to concrete operation, is more feasible for realizing qualitative simulation. Casualty theory is combined to build qualitative simulation model for the changing process of enterprise management responsibility. Representation methods of state variable and state variable transition rules are designed including maximum rule, minimum rule, continuous changing rule and compatible rule. Machine workload thoughts are employed to design simulation branch filter basing on responsibility workload. Simulation steps are designed. Some problems about simulation details are explored.Traditional competency confirmation methods have many limitations and can not satisfy with demands of modern job analysis. Petri net is an important modeling method of discrete and dynamic events. It must be improved to apply to job analysis simulation. Based on enterprise manager competencies changing process, the qualitative simulation model for the changing process of manager competency is built integrating with Petri nets. The steps of simulation are proposed. An application of simulation example is illustrated. The simulation results are analyzed.Competency-position fit (C-P fit) is an important principle of enterprise human resource management. It has profound theoretical foundations. C-P fit is a dynamic process, which can be described by qualitative simulation methods. Qualitative simulation model for manager selection basing on C-P fit theory is built. BP neutral network is then employed to design approaching function for calculating enterprise manager C-P fit degree. It is served as decision function for manager selection and configuration. An application of qualitative simulation to manager selection is illustrated.There is causal relation between competency and performance, which is validated by qualitative simulation methods in this paper. The qualitative simulation results show that, high competency and strong motivation will yield high performance. Manager competencies greatly influence enterprise core competition ability, and its development is affected by many factors. In terms of the way of cultivating motivation, three types of enterprise manager competency development models are built. They are pushing model, drawing model and motivating each other model. It is pointed that the third model should be the best one for enterprise manager competency development. The new variables are introduced to rebuild competency development motivating each other model. Therefore, the qualitative simulation technology is realized to apply to enterprise manager competency development process and its decision-support.Based on the above works, the prototype of qualitative simulation system for enterprise management position job analysis is developed. The structure and functions of the system are built. It covers the realistic mechanism for qualitative simulation system and the modules including initial setting, knowledge management, simulation control, result management. Object oriented programming and qualitative simulation technology are integrated to realize qualitative simulation module and other relevant functions using VB6.0.
