With the development of professional division in manufacturing industry chain, the collaboration in manufacturing process has become more and more frequently between manufacturing enterprises around a specific manufacturing task. How to realize the standardized management of workshop resources, the optimized planning of the manufacturing tasks and provide an effectively operation mode and supporting system from the aspects of task collaboration and process-driven, are the important issues for the manufacturing enterprises. Presently, workshop manufacturing system management inner the manufacturing enterprise, manufacturing execution system(MES) and the operation of dynamic alliance between manufacturing enterprises have widely studied and achieved plenty of academic and industrial achievements. However, the research of workshop manufacturing system operation mode and supporting system based on the integration of manufacturing services, manufacturing tasks and manufacturing processes, is rarely studied. With the foundation of the National High-Tech R&D Program for CIMS(No. 2007AA040701), this paper studied the workshop manufacturing system operation mode, operation technologies and supporting system, with the integration of manufacturing services, manufacturing tasks and manufacturing processes. The details of the contents are presented below.Based on the analysis of the conception and characteristics of workshop manufacturing system operation mode, and combined with the characteristics of modern manufacturing environment, a service-oriented workshop manufacturing system operation mode is provided, which is take the core of manufacturing execution chain. The service-oriented workshop manufacturing system operation mode includes four processes, which are manufacturing services encapsulation and publish, manufacturing tasks release and task planning, manufacturing execution chain modeling and construction, and manufacturing execution chain execution and inspection. By the way of manufacturing resources encapsulation with semantic web services and process-driven manufacturing execution chain operation, the service-oriented workshop manufacturing system operation mode realized the effectively management and collaboration inner and outer the workshop manufacturing systems.The operation technologies of the service-oriented workshop manufacturing system operation mode are deeply studied from the aspect of comprehensive operation technology layer. Firstly, the service modeling approach for manufacturing resources are studied. The conception service model of manufacturing resources is constructed form the view of supporting sharing and collaboration of workshop manufacturing resources. Then, the conception model is formal described strictly and realized by the extended OWL-S. Secondly, based on the analysis of the principle of manufacturing tasks decomposition and planning, a manufacturing objects tree based manufacturing task decomposition and planning approach is provided, and the decomposed manufacturing tasks are semantically described by OWL-S. Finally, the construction and execution technologies for manufacturing execution chain are studied, which include AON-based manufacturing execution chain workflow modeling technology, manufacturing services mapping approach, schedule model for manufacturing execution model and OWL-S based manufacturing execution chain generation and semantic description technology.Based on the analysis of the deficiency of MES in system framework and function, a service-oriented MES system framework and realization approach model is provided. The collaborative operation between workshop manufacturing systems, equipments integration and manufacturing knowledge management are supported by the service-oriented MES. Furthermore, the service-oriented MES system modeling approach and semantic gateway based system integration technologies are studied. The system modeling approach is based on service-oriented system architecture and driven by manufacturing business process, and integrated used of IDEF0, BPM, UML. Using this approach, business object model, function model, process model, component model, service model and service interactive model of the MES system are constructed. In the study of system integration approach, a semantic gateway based system integration mode is provided, and the semantic modeling approach for integration objects and share ontology-based semantic mapping technology is studied.A prototype of service-oriented workshop manufacturing execution system is developed based on the above research results of service-oriented workshop manufacturing system operation mode, operation technologies and supporting system. Based on the study of the function framework of the prototype system, implementation mode and the practical requirements of South Air International Company, the prototype system is applied and achieved well application effects.
