Chinese Classics Engraved On The Original Turn Engraved And Printed After The Beginning Of India

Problem of Yuan Ke(the original block-carved edition) and Fan Ke(the re-carved edition),Chu Yin(first-printed edition) and Hou Yin(the reprinted edition) of Chinese rare books is the object of this dissertation,which is of much significance yet has been relatively marginalized.On the basis of reviewing the history of the study, introduction to the dissertation outlines the aim of this investigation. This text comprises two parts:Part One,the general theory,contains two chapters,respectively investigating the difference between Yuan Ke and Fan Ke,Chu Yin and Hou Yin,revealing the main points of the edition connoisership,summarizing some laws from relevant phenomena,and assessing the documental and cultural relic values of these different editions.Part Two,the examples,contains four chapters.In the form of Shu Zhi(annotated catalogue),it records eighty representative block-printed editions(12 for Song Dynasty,12 for Yuan Dynasty,34 for Ming Dynasty and 22 for Qing Dynasty),investigating Yuan Ke and Fan Ke,Chu Yin and Hou Yin of certain edition.On the basis of the history of the woodblock edition summarized by the predecessors,this dissertation initially put forward a more complicated clue and fills the vacant area in the previous research.The concluding section presents the significance of the research on Yuan Ke and Fan Ke,Chu Yin and Hou Yin to the edition study and documental arrangement.The research on Yuan Ke and Fan Ke,Chu Yin and Hou Yin of Chinese rare books in this dissertation aims to make some exploration into propelling the deep development of Chinese traditional edition study in a certain perspective.In concrete operational aspect,this research can present a more feasible method to display panoramically the certain edition phenomena.In the documental study aspect,it offers some steady and effective fundamental materials for the case study of traditional documents.
