Universal Complex Image Compression Algorithm And Real-time Implementation

This report addresses the problems in compressing complex images. Given a detail survey on the characteristics of complex image data, a line-accurate complex image compression algorithm that is universe to kinds of SAR image data is proposed.Combining with the hardware character of DSP and FPGA we give a real-time implementation of our method. First we describe the meanings of complex image compression algorithm research and the current headway. Second a brief introduction of real-time system's characters and requirements is given. Then we discuss the optical image compression methods and our algorithm of compressing complex images. At last, the implementation method on DSP and FPGA platform is described. The evaluation standards are also proposed at the end of this letter. The details are given in our report.
