Web Services Technology is extremely important for next generation Internet. It concerns some mechanisms to create, compose, deploy, discover and invoke services. One of Web Services goals is to construct a universal, platform-indepentdent, language-indepentdent technical layer over existed heterogeneous platforms. With this layer, the connection and integration can be easily achieved among different applications over heterogeneous platforms. Services invocations are done by manual in tranditional Web applications, but the services must be automatically invoked in Web Seervices environment. Transaction, security and load balance are key supporting techniques for Web Services to keep reliable, secure and high performance. With disscusion of Web Services lightweight protocols stack (including UDDI, WSDL, SOAP and XML protocols), this dissertation' focuses are on the study of Web Services transaction coordination framework, security of SOAP message passing and load balancing algorithm of compositon web services. Here are some contributions of this dissertation as following:1. A web service multi-transaction coordination extension framework (in short, WS-MTC) is proposed.2. After studying web service's composition, we present a path-dependent relation and coordinate composition policy for compositon web services.3. On security, some secure mechanisms are introduced into SOAP/XML message headers and a SOAP-based secure model of web service is presented according to WS-Security specification. In the model, Third certification, based on public key, is applied.4. For load balancing, we present a CORBA-Based Load Balance model and an improved algorithm (named Cooling-Delay* Algorithm).Furthermore, in this dissertation, the algorithm of load balancing is applied to path choice of composition web services. Last, a practical project (FACE Project) is developed with J2EE/Web Services technologies and all above ideas are adopted.
