Marxism theoretical education is a social practice that the proletarian party utilizes Marxist stand, viewpoints and methods to publicize the masses, educate and arm the people, enable the people to know the basic social development law, recognize the fundamental interests of the working class and historic mission, consolidate belief of socialism, set up the lofty communism ideals and struggle to realize it. There exist not only links but differences among Mao Zedong's theory on Marxism theoretical education and Mao Zedong's Marxist theory concept, Mao Zedong's thinking on education and Mao Zedong's thought of ideological and political education. As an important component of Mao Zedong's Thought, the"Mao Zedong's Marxism theoretical education thought"refers to the thought that Mao Zedong as the core of the Party's first-generation central collective leadership educates massive party members, cadres and the masses for Marxist ideological theory, and it is an integrated scientific ideology including the necessity of Marxism theoretical education, educators, learners, contents and methods, it is also an education science guiding massive party cadres and the masses to study and be educated Marxist theory.Concerning Mao Zedong's development skeleton of Marxism theoretical education: Mao Zedong's theoretical education developed and formulated in the process of the revolution and war as the themes of the times and the Chinese revolution and construction, which can't be separated from education practice in new-democratic revolution period, socialist period and Mao Zedong's education practice. Mao Zedong's theoretical education thought developed and formulated on the basis of exposing and criticizing the subjectivism including doctrinairism and experimentalism, judging and analyzing Party's intelligence. This process can be divided into six stages, that is, the sprouting stage during 1920-1927, the formative stage during 1927-1937, the stage of maturity during 1937-1945, the in-depth development stage during 1945-1956, the twisting development stage during 1956-1966, and the total damaging stage during 1966-1978. With regard to the necessity and importance of Marxism theoretical education: Mao Zedong elaborated the significance of theoretical education from the aspect of theoretical education's important effect combining position. Mao Zedong believed that only studying Marxism-Leninism can understand the essence of things and their development trends, and consolidate correct political directions and leadership of predictability; Only mastering the Marxism-leninism theory and methodology can correctly carry out investigations and studies, and specifically sum up historical experience; Only studying and applying the Marxism-leninism theory and methodology can scientifically acknowledge their mistakes and correctly correct mistakes; Only studying Marxism- Leninism can adhere to the basic Marxist principles, strengthen the Party's unity and complete the party's political mandate. Educating the cadres to make sense of Marxism-Leninism is the primary factor to cultivate proletarian revolutionary successors. Only educating the people with Marxism-Leninism can combine the present and long- term interests, develop the work style of hard struggle; Only using Marxism-Leninism to educate the people can do away with superstitions, and foster a scientific attitude. Mao Zedong pointed out that, in the revolution, conducting ideological education is the century to unite the party to carry out great political struggle. During the construction period, the political work is also the lifeblood of the economic work.In regards to the basic principles of Marxism theoretical education: Mao Zedong made it clear that the basic principle of theoretical education is the unity of theory with practice or the principle of relationship of theory to practice. The basic principle of the relationship of theory to practice is constituted by the four core components, that are, mastering proficiently the theory, research, application and development of theory and so on. Mao Zedong also rose the principle of the relationship of theory to practice to the law of social development to recognize.Regarding who conducting the Marxism theoretical education: This is not only an antecedent issue but a key issue on theoretical education. Mao Zedong held that theoretical education work is not only the party's political departments'work and the publicity departments'works, but also the work of the party and all the party members. In another word, that is"every party member should be a propagandist."On this foundation, Mao Zedong also proposed to making advantage of the their respective advantages of the political teachers, newspapers, other mass media and theoretical worker teams to form a the party's education as the mainstay ultimately, the relevant departments coordinating with and the whole society supporting Marxist theory educators system.Regarding whom are the educate of Marxist theory: Marxist theory learners are the Marxist theory recipients, the object of Marxist theory educators'function. Mao Zedong believed that the Marxist theory is the science that all revolutionists should study, and the education that is against all the people. Apart from the working class that is the most direct target of Marxism theoretical education, Mao Zedong focused on education on the party members and cadres, youths, farmers and intellectuals.Regarding what being taught on Marxism theoretical education: Educational content decides the direction of education, and also reflects the nature of education. Marxism theoretical education chooses Marxist theory as the definite content of education. Meanwhile, in the concrete practice of Chinese revolution and construction, Mao Zedong repeatedly stressed the necessity of strengthening the education of basic Marxist theory. Meanwhile, he, from China's specific conditions, pointed out that, on one hand, in order to deal with the prerequisite condition problem of normally operating Marxism theoretical education, we should instruct the massive party cadres and the masses of the people the basic cultural knowledge, including natural science and social science knowledge. On the other hand, we should teach the massive the party's cadres and the masses Chinese history, including the history of Communist Party of China, and the product of Marxist Sinicism in China which includes the Chinese Communist Party line and policies, so that the Marxism theoretical education is not divorced from the realities in China.How to carry out Marxism theoretical education: Mao Zedong thought that we not only had the correct opinions and ideas, but also had a more appropriate turn of expression to tell others. Skillfully performing theoretical education is a kind of Marxism-leninism art. Mao Zedong pointed out, apart from"the principle of the relationship of theory to practice", which is not only the basic principle of theoretical education but also the fundamental theoretical educational methods, we should use the"rectification","heuristic method", the approach of"learning by doing","learning from mistakes"and the method of"popularization"and so on.Regarding the realistic significance of Mao Zedong's thought on Marxism theoretical education: from the theoretical significance, Mao Zedong's thought on Marxism theoretical education is the direct source of Deng Xiaoping's and Jiang Zemin's thought of theoretical education, and Deng Xiaoping's and Jiang Zemin's thought of theoretical education is born of Mao Zedong and innovate. In practical sense, on the new historical conditions of the reform and opening and in the modernization drive and building a socialist harmonious society, Mao Zedong's thought on theoretical education is the guiding ideology and the theoretical basis of contemporary Chinese Marxism theoretical education. It exists major guiding significance in vigorously promoting the Marxist studying atmosphere of connecting theory and reality, opposing two dogmatisms, in a planned, organized manner to read the classical Marxism-Leninism works and in the transformation of the opinion of world while altering the subjective world.
