Contemporary Ethnical Conflict Studies

Ethnical conflict in the post-cold-war world political arena one of the most significant events. Its development throughout the world had a profound impact, but also makes it a focus of current research nationalism, hot and difficult problems. For nowadays a lot of multi—ethnic states of world to say, how to handle the very local ethnic relation, still dissolve the ethnical conflict is a goes to close the important problem. The main purpose of this dissertation is to take the ethnical conflict of Northern Ireland as an example to investigate essence and sources of contemporary ethnical conflict, and combine the analysis of peaceful progress in North Ireland to inquiry into the basic path of dissolving the ethnical conflict. For us to strengthen the research of ethnical conflict to handle the good ethnical relation in the contemporaryand multi--ethnic states not only have the important theosophical meaning, butalso have important realistic meaning to us.This dissertation is consisted of three parts: introduction, text of six chapters and conclusion. The introduction mainly descript the gist of the paper, the study already carried inside and outside China on the ethnical conflict, general conditions of the thesis and shortage of the ethnical conflict study and the framework and research method etc.The main body is consisted of three parts. The first part is the theories analysis and cushions of the contemporary and multi—ethnic conflict. This part included the first, two chapters.Chapter one is mainly analysis on the concept of ethnic around the ethnic and interaction within the nation construction or purchases pursued to carry on the analysis of the theories towards the different from nation—state and multi—ethnic states are two kinds of principle of interaction . Very important in the process of the ethnic and the nation construction is the interaction of the ethnical identity and national identity. In the political structure and form of modern society, the ethnical identity and the national identity are two most important identities.Chapter two mainly carries on the theories analysis to the ethnical conflict within contemporary multi—ethnic state. First, the paper analysis the ethnic definition and manifestation of the ethnical conflict in contemporary and multi—ethnic state. At this foundation on analyzed the paradigm to carry on three kinds of theories of the contemporary ethnical conflict research.
