Early Han Shi-wind And The Early Han Literature

AbstractThis thesis researches the evolution and main characteristics of both the intellectuals and the literature during the early stage of Han Dynasty before the reign of Han wudi. Based on the study of above, we try to descnbe the historic change of both Chinese Intellectuals and Chinese Literature after entering the history under centralization.The whole paper consists of three parts: Perface ,Text and Verdict The text includes four chapters. In the first chapter, we explore the spiritual change of the intellectuals afler entering Han Dynasty and the relationship between the intellectuals and Han emperor, and expound the original meaning of the new spiritual words founded by Li~jia, and sum up Lujia's contributions to intellectuals and literature of Han Dynasty. In the second chapter, we show thriving of Confucianism among nongovernmental intellectuals, and show the Jiayi's vangurad role of Confucians and his tragic state; by exploring both the articles that expounded statecraft in grand style and the literary works written by iiayi, we show the essential relationship which were not only interdependent but also in conflict between the Chinese intellectuals and the Chinese emperor, and show the essential connotation in the literary works written by the Chinese intellectuals, especially by literati and officaldom. In the third chapter, we explore how the intellectual groups appeared in local governments in the early Han Dynasty, and how these intellectuals changed their political trickeries into their literary talents. In the forth chapter, we research the spiritual process that Meicheng and Simaxiangru bad became literary giants, and the main causes bringing up Han Fu?as a type of literary writing in grand style.This thesis follows the important principle proposed by Prof. Wangzhongling in his works new methodology about literature research?
