Clinical Research On Clinical Symptom, Objective Sign And Laboratory Index Of Jiaweishenmaisan (JWS) For Treating Grave Patients

ObjectiveThe research deployed clinical epidemiology,clinical scientific research technology and mathematical statistics analytical method and marched clinical ran-control study, which was observed the influence on clinical symptom, objective sign and laboratory index of Jiaweishenmaisan(JWS) for treating Grave patients. In order to approach the clinical curative effect and safety about using JWS to treat Graves.MethodsTo select the 60 cases candidate that diagnosed in the Yishou University of Taiwan affiliated hospital endocrine secretion department from Feb.2009 to Dec.2009, which coincidence bolting standard in Qixiang Clinic of Chinese Medicine. Divided the candidates at the ratio of 1:1 in treatment group and the control group randomly. Each group was 30cases. The treatment group was treated by JWS and the control group was treated by the Liuweidihuangwan. Oberserved the clinical symptom,objective sign,laboratory index,clinical curative effect of patients and the safety before and after one-month treatment.Database was set up with the software of Epi Data3. 1.The statistical analysis was used with the software of SPSS15.0. Measurement data was represented by mean±standard deviation ((?)±s) , numeration data was represented by constituent ratio (%).The classification data was observed usingχ2 Test and the ranked data by Wilcoxon rank-sum Test. Independent T-test or Wilcoxon rank-sum Test was applied for group comparison. Matched t-test or Wilcoxon matched-rank-sum test was applied for self-AP:PA comparison. The software of Graph Pad Prism 4.03 was used for statistical figure.ResultsThe research totally gathered 60 cases of qualified subjects which were medical outpatient. There were 16cases men, and 44 cases were women, the age was 19 to 49years old, the course of disease were from 4 months to 2years. There were 30 cases in the experiment group (9cases were men,21cases were women), While there were 30cases in control group (7cases were man,23cases were women). The average age of two group was 33.51 years old and 31.78years old. The average of disease course was from 7.72months to 5.98months.After one-month treatment, there was statistical significance between the experiment group and the control group on the clinical symptom score in TCM. There was statistical significance of the comparison before and after treatment. Both of two groups can degrade TCM clinical symptom score, furthermore, the experiment group changed more apparently after treatment than the control group. From the TCM clinical symptom comparison, the effective power of the experiment group is 93.3%, obviously higher than control group (53.3%).There was statistical significance between the experiment group and the control group on the thyromegaly score and eye-sign score. There was statistical significance of the comparison before and after treatment in the experiment group, while there was not significance difference in the control group.In the JWS group, the T3,T4,FT3,FT4 decreased apparently, while TSH increased. There was statistical significance to compare before treatment with after treatment. There was statistical significance to compare before treatment with after treatment on increasing TSH. But there was not statistical significance on effected T3,T4,FT3,FT4. There was not statistical significance in group comparison. From the curative of decreased thyroid hormone, the total effective rate was 86.7%, apparently higher than the control group (56.7%). There was not any cases adverse effect in the course of treatment.ConclusionConcluded the results of the research, the JWS group has a potency of curative effect on treating Graves disease. It can not only effectually improve the clinical symptom and objective sign and lessen the pain of patient so that to elevate the life qualification but also do well in deflating intumescent thyroid, improving the eye-signe and obviating it from getting worse, cutting down the blood serum hyroid hormone and ameliorating the functions of thyroid. It could decurtate the course of the disease and promote remission rate as well. It was totally explained that the compact of was reasonable, the curative effect was significant so that it was safe and allowed to use for long-term.
