ObjectiveIn clinical study,by observing and comparing the scores of the questionnaires of ADHD children accompanying TD after taking herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver.or oral liquid of Jingling,to evaluate the clinical effect,side effect and the rate of recurrence of the two treatments.In animal experiment study,by observing the impact on the central nerve transmitters of SHR(spontaneously hypertension rat)after taking herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver,in order to investigate the mechanism of action of the herb.MethoIn clinical study,we devided randomly 66 cases ADHD accompanying TD diagnosed by DSM-IV into two groups,46 cases taking the herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver(group 1),20 cases taking oral liquid of Jingling(group 2),and then noted the scores of the questionnaires for 4 times,before taking medicine,4 weeks later,8 weeks later and 12 weeks later,while observing the outcome of the examinations before and after treating.In animal experiment study,we devided randomly and averagely 18 SHR into 3 groups,one taking the herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver(group Z),one taking Ritalin(group R),the other taking 0.9%saline (group S)We executed the rats and took quickly the hippocampus and the frontal lobe cortex out of the rats' brain on the top of ice table,weighed them and packed them with tin foil after 14 days.And then we conserved them in the refrigerator of 70 below zero and detected the content of NE and 5-HT by the method of high efficiency and liquid phase.ResultIn clinical study,the general curative effect of core symptoms between the two groups is similar(P>0.05),group 1 is 87%and group2 is 80%after 12 weeks treatment.The curative effect of tic after 12 weeks treatment is significantly different between the two groups(P<0.05),But the curative effect of other core symptoms after 12 weeks treatment between the two groups is similar(P>0.05).The general curative effect of core symptoms and the curative effect of tic after 8 weeks treatment is significantly different between the two groups(P<0.01),But the curative effect of other core symptoms after 8 weeks treatment between the two groupsis similar(P>0.05).All the curative effect between the two groups is similar(P>0.05)after 4 weeks treatment.All the scores of core symptoms after 4 weeks or 8 weeks or 12 weeks treatment are significantly less than before treatment.The improvement DEG of tic after 4 weeks or 8 weeks or 12 weeks treatment is significantly different between the two groups(P<0.01).The improvement DEG of HI after 8 weeks or 12 weeks treatment is significantly different between the two groups(P<0.05).The side effect after treatment between the two groups is similar(P>0.05),both of the two groups have no side effect.The rate of recurrence in 6 months after drug withdrawal between the two groups is similar(P>0.05),both of the two groups have no recurrence case.In animal experiment study,the content of NE in the hippocampus in group Z is significantly less than group R and group S(P<0.05).The content of 5-HT in the frontal lobe cortex in group Z is significantly more than group R and group S(P<0.05).The content of NE in the hippocampus and 5-HT in the frontal lobe cortex between group R and group S is similar(P>0.05).ConclusionIn clinical study,the herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver and the oral liquid of Jingling both can improve the core symptoms of ADHD accompanying TD.The general curative effect of the two groups is similar,they are 87%and 80%.The herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver can improve quicklier the core symptoms than the oral liquid of Jingling.The herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver can improve obviously the symptom of tic.But the oral liquid of Jingling can improve obviously the symptom of HI.The herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver and the oral liquid of Jingling are safe for treating ADHD accompanying TD and have no recurrence in 6 months after drug withdrawal.In animal experiment study,the herb of nourishing kidney and accommodating liver can reduce obviously the content of NE in the hippocampus and advance obviously the content of 5-HT in the frontal lobe cortex of SHR. |
