At present, hundreds and thousands open heart operations are carried out annually in the world. Despite the importance of the phrmacokinetics of anesthetics during CPB operation.little studies have been reported on the pharmacokinetics of fluorinated inhalation anesthetics(FIA) in open heart surgery. The lack of data in this field will hamper the study on the FIA pharmacodynamics, and arouse difficulties to avoid using FIA empirically . For this reason, we designed following clinical trails in order to investigate the regular pattern of FIA pharmaco-kinetics and its clinical significance for CPB operations.Study one: According to the FIA inhaled 32 patients were divided into methoxyflurane, halothane ,enflurane , and isoflurane groups.During and after operation the patients' serum concentrations of inorganic fluoride(F~- ) were meassured and the peak F" values were methocy(?) lurane group(20.6 μ M/L) > enflurane group (8.0 μ M/L) > isoflurane group (4.3 μ M/L)>halothane group (4.0 μM/L).
