Abdominal Acupuncture For Treatment Of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome A Randomized Clinical Trial

Objective:Through the clinical trial of abdominal acupuncture intervention in the treatment of patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in Singapore, the efficacy and superiority on the abdominal acupuncture treatment was evaluated.Methods:60chronic fatigue syndrome patients were collected from the Singapore Chu yik man Chinese medicine clinics and Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine clinics, were randomly divided into treatment and control groups,30patients in each group, the abdominal acupuncture for treatment and control group with a Traditional Chinese Medicine Xiaoyaosan. Two groups were compared before and after treatment with fatigue severity score, symptom score, HAMA scale score and HAMD scale score.Results:The differences between the two groups in Baseline data were without statistical significance (P>0.05) to be compared; the Fatigue severity score, symptom score, HAMA scale score and the HAMD score were compared before and after the treatment, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(p<0.05). And the post-treatment score of treatment group was significantly lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05); Clinical efficacy of the treatment group was80.0%, better than76.3%, which was the score of the control group, its difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). two sets of clinical recovery rate is low.Conclusions:â‘ Abdominal acupuncture, the clinical efficacy of chronic fatigue syndrome than Xiaoyaosan, the total effective rate was80.0%, from symptoms and psychological aspects play a therapeutic role.â‘¡Abdominal acupuncture from fatigue severity, the patient feels, the main symptoms and Chief psychosis is effective in improving the patient's condition, obvious effect.â‘¢Theabdominal acupuncture can significantly reduce anxiety and depressive symptoms in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome associated.
