In recent years, the incidence of malignant tumors continues to rise, and it is a serious threat to people's lives. People are frieghtened about cancer and many treatment methods have been developed,, but the result is unsatisfactory. Facing such a situation, I have tried to use the traditional Tibetan medical theory to analyze and interpretate malignant tumors in terms of the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment with Tibetan medicine. For quite a long time the classical theory of Tibetan medicine thinks that cancer is a chronic disease. When you have cancer, it is unnecessary to be panic-striken, and treatment focuses on gentle long-term methods and rehabilitation. It is prohibited to use destructive and antagonistic methods.. In the treatment of malignant tumors Tibetan medicine aims at relieving pain, and psychological pressure to improve their life quality and the survival rate This thesis deals with gastric cancer and the unique approaches for it with Tibetan medicine.Gastric cancer is commonly seen in China, and in Tibetan areas its incidence is high. At present, gastric cancer usually resorts to surgery, but it does'nt bring hope to patients, especially for patients with advanced gastric cancer. Surgery only aggravates the condition and shortens their life. I have treated gastric cancer for years with internal and external treatment, diarrhea and vomiting approaches,, modified Tibetan herbs, incantations and psychological, intervention."Renqingchiqiemo", a Tibetan medicine developed by myself through long researches has a significant effect on gastric cancer and other digestive ailments.. It can alleviate pain, side-effect of chemotherapy, prolong patient's life, and improve the life quality. The only drawback is the patients treated are in remote deserted places. The transportation problems hinders communication and access to necessary information after the treatment..This thesis includes the following five parts::1. In view of the history of Tibetan medicine it discusses about its occurrene, progression, and prevention. Stress is put on the cause of cancer, and how to treat cancer in Tibetean areas, together with the development of Tibetan medicines and clinical practice.,2. It discusses about the definition of cancer in Tibetan medicine, and difference in understand of cancer, According to classical Tibetan medcicine, cancer is in the range of "si" It is a complicated chronic disease. like diabetes,, patients must b e in patience towards treatment, so as to alleviate sufferings, and improve the survival rate. Western medicine lacks of "the overall concept of harmony ". It aims at extermination treatment, which makes people frieghtening when they talk about cancer."The man factor that causes cancer is called "Se", which is similar to the microbes and their subtle materials something like cells, but not exactly cells..3. Cancer's pathogenesis, and etiology are discussed, especially in the occurrence of gastric cancer., its internal and external causes. Focus is laid on " the internal environment in which cancer is likely to occur".4. Based on clinical practice, diagnostic criteria with Tibetan characteristics have been developed.Gastric cancer is divided into three stages:early, secondary and advanced stages. For each stage diagnostic and treatment approaches are formulated (including diet, lifestyle, medicinal herbs used external treatment, incantation, and psychological treatment), Individualized treatment is emphasized in combination with Western drugs as supplement5. There is a profound study of the importance of psychosomatic treatment. Occurrence of cancer is related to psychological factors, emotional stress, oppressive feeling and fear. In treatment psychosomatic factors are taken into consideration, especially the fomer is most important.. whcih can improve the treating outcomes and life qualityIn conclusion, understanding of cancer in view of Tibetan medicine does not go against the viewpoint of Western medicine. The present study enriches the knowledge in diagnosis and treatment of cancer with Western medicine..
