Senile dementia is common disease that cuse the old people, now the elderly populationoccupies countrywide total population10.15%, with the deepening of national aging, Seniledementia's number will be increased year by year. Estimation arrives2050, China's elderlypopulation will increase to400000000, while patients with dementia will exceed20000000.So it is crunch time for prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The research in thisfield should also have great progress, this research around this center launched a series ofresearch. Objective: To compare the difference between patients of Alzheimer's diseases andcontrol subjects by linear and volumetric measurements, and to find a better proof fordiagnosis of AD; To investigate changes in MCI and AD, which can assist in the diagnosis ofMCI and mild AD; To compare the difference between patients of Alzheimer's diseases andcontrol subjects in metabolism. Method:12MCI patient,18AD patient and20healthyvolunteer underwent the conventional MRI, DTI and1H-MRS. The linear measurement ofHI, VI, FHI, TVW, CSW, LFW and the volume measurement of hippocampus wereperformed on the serial reconstructed MR imaging; The WML was scored and classified, andmeasure the FA and ADC on the region of interest, which contains superior longitudinalfasciculus, inferior longitudinal fasciculus, uncinate fasciculus, corpus callosum, internalcapsule and Cingulate fasciculus. To process the data using the Siemens workplace. The datawere analyzed by SPSS13.0for windows. Result: the linear index HI, FHI, TVW, LFWwere significantly different(P<0.05). the volumetric measurement of hippocampus hassignificant difference in groups (P<0.05). In addition, there's no significance betweenhippocampal volume and sex,(P>0.05), the difference between volume and age great than55is significant. The volume between left and right side is significantly difference; WML iscorrelated with age, and the difference between MCI and AD is significant(P<0.01). the FAof superior longitudinal fasciculus, inferior longitudinal fasciculus, internal capsule andCingulate fasciculus has a significant difference in groups. There is a significant correlationbetween WML classification and the FA of superior longitudinal fasciculus, inferiorlongitudinal fasciculus, the ADC of superior longitudinal fasciculus, Cingulate fasciculus, internal capsule, Cingulate fasciculus; The metabolite NAA/Cho, NAA/Cr, Cho/Cr are not affected by side, sex or age (P>0.05). NAA/Cr in the thalamus is significantly different ingroups(P<0.05). Conclusion: the linear measurement and volumetric measurement arespecific index in the diagnosis of AD, so it can be effective in clinic. The difference betweenMCI, AD and NC is not significantly large, and WML is not severe in the MCI and mild AD.So judging MCI and AD using WML is not very reasonable. Additionally, the differencebetween MCI and AD in the WML classification can be a good proof of the MCI to AD. TheMRS to the medial temporal lobe and capsula interna has certain value, and it can be areference in the diagnosis of AD.
