The Specificity Evaluation Of Asthma Case Records

The method of analysis in case records is various. But analysis in particularity of asthma is blank. It is difficult for some physicians to get special TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) syndrome or special prescriptions information. This paper is focus on asthma case record, and the method of evaluation is set up finally. The special TCM syndromes or special prescriptions can be measured by new method. There are seven parts in this research:The first part——requirement investigation The method of investigation is questionnaire survey The 86 questionnaires are collected. The result is:the research on particularity of case records is available and the measurement of special TCM and special prescriptions is significant.The second part——object of study The object of this study is divided into two parts:the evaluated objects and References. The evaluated objects are the principal part of study. The references are aided to specificity evaluation. The disease to be evaluated is asthma chosen from 425 TCM diseases. The being evaluated object is asthma case records published from 1988 to 2007 in journal. The number of journal articles is 1347.The related principles are laid down. The references are other asthma diagnosis and treatment information possessing features of generally acknowledged, multicase research or being disseminated for a long time. The reference is including asthma diagnosis and treatment information published in ancient formula, clinic multicase researches and books. The quantity of journal articles is 1293 and the quantity of books is 284. The related principles are laid down.The third part——the target of evaluation The target of evaluation is to get special asthma TCM syndrome and special prescriptions.The fourth part——the choice of Evaluate index The TCM prescriptions indexes to be evaluatied are Chinese herb names, dosage and function. The syndrome indexes to be evaluatied are syndrome element and syndrome units.The fifth part——the Standardization of index The name of Chinese herbs, the dosage of prescriptions, the function of prescriptions and TCM syndrome are processed to be unified.The sixth part——The evaluation model The similarity of prescriptions composition is evaluated by the method of Jaccard similarity model. The similarity of prescriptions composition and dosage is evaluated by the method of angle cosine similarity. The similarity of prescriptions function is evaluated by the method of angle cosine similarity. The similarity of TCM syndrome is evaluated by the method of Euclidean distance.The seventh part——The result of evaluation In the prescriptions similarity research:the number of whole particular prescriptions is 0,the number of partial prescriptions is 673,the number of ordinary prescriptions is 375. In the TCM syndrome similarity research:the number of particular TCM syndrome is 0,the number of partial TCM syndrome is 258,the number of ordinary TCM syndromeis 1248.The eighth part——The assistant software Three related softwares are developed to help data standardization and similarity calculation. In brief, this research focuses on case reports in the point of specificity. The specificity evaluation method is provided. The special prescriptions and TCM syndrome of case reports can be provided for physicians.
