The Literatural Study On The Regularity Of The Herbal Toxicity Of Commonly Used Chinese Herbs

Objective:To systematize the records of herbal toxicity of commonly used Chinese herbs in clinical practice in ancient herbal classics and literatures, to seek the regularity in the changes of herbal toxicity and explore the potential reasons of these changes of different dynasties, to perfect the theory of medicine theory of herbal toxicity and to supply references for theoretical research and clinical prescription. Methods:Connecting the TCM literatural approaches and statistical methods, databases of herbal toxicity of commonly used Chinese herbs are established to analyze the rule of these changes. Result: The change of the herbal toxicity have certain regularity. The proportion of the herbal property "Without toxicity" grows and the proportion of the"Medium virulence"and he "Big poison" reduces. Conclusion:The theory of herbal toxicity is an essential attribute of chinese herbs, and potential reasons of the changes of the toxicity herbal property can be summed up to four aspects:the one is the changes of the herbs themselves and the patients themselves, which mean the nature of those herbs and patients have changed, Doctor's ability and Society background diversity is another aspects.
