Permanent magnetic synchronous motors (PMSM) are widely used in industrial fields for their high efficiency, high power density, high torque to current ratio, high reliability and strong adaptability to environment. The AC-DC-AC variable frequency technique is adopted for PMSM drives.This dissertation proposes an H∞robust control method for three-phase PWM rectifier and PMSM separately. And a PSO algorithm is used to optimize parameters of proposed controller separately. This dissertation proposes a nonlinear robust controller for PMSM based on L2 gain to improve its dynamic and static performance. Simulation and experiment results demonstrate that the designed controller system is suitable and effort for the PMSM drives separately. A new method to estimate the rotor magnetic pole position of PMSM is proposed. And this method is demonstrated by the experiment.
