With the development of science and technology the modern machinery is now orienting to an extreme condition which is under high speed and over-load. The special condition and contaminated environment should lead to deterioration and failure of lubricant, and environmental dust (mainly silica sand), wear debris generated from wear processes and metallic contaminants such as iron, copper usually enter into oil lubricating systems, which will aggravates wear process. The properties of lubricant and lubricant additive will be challenged. Thus it is essential to do some research on lubricant additive under high temperature This dissertation aims at studying the tribological properties of lubricant additives under high temperature, developing friction and wear tests for lubricant additive [PhB(CH2PPh2)3AgPEt3] which used in high temperature and contaminated. Research and analysis the tribological properties for [PhB(CH2PPh2)3AgPEt3] using at smooth steel surface ,textured steel surface and sand contained lubricant respectively. The main works and conclusions are as follows:1) A light- and air-stable tris(phosphino)borato silver(I) complexe [PhB(CH2PPh2)3AgPEt3] has been synthesized, structurally and spectroscopically characterized, And Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of the oil with silver precursor and X-ray diffraction (XPS) of the decomposition product of Ag complex was performed.2) The ball-on-disk tribological behavior were evaluated on a CETR UMT-2 Tribometer at high temperature, to discuss the properties of the silver precursor [PhB(CH2PPh2)3AgPEt3] as lubricant additives and the best mass percent of the precursor. Then worn scars of steel balls were analysed to study the Friction and wear mechanisms.3) Textured surfaces with groves on 52100 disks are designed and fabricated by a picosecond laser RAPID, to research the hydrophilicity of the textured surface, and then tribological, behavior were evaluated on a CETR UMT-2 Tribometer. Finally the influence of lubricant additive and surface texture on the rotating friction characteristics of steel under varying speeds was discussed.4) Pre-made liquid-solid lubrication with contamination particles of different sides and concentrations, and measured the viscosity of the lubricant using a capillary viscometer to research the relationship between viscosity and concentration of sand particles, or size of sand particles. Then study on the relationship between friction&wear and concentration of sand particles, or size of sand particles by a UMT2 tribometer. The results are expected to provide solutions and ideas for military vehicle engines and mechanical and electrical equipment of large-scale mine.Altogether there are 53 Figures and 25 Tables.
