Complicated fault-block oil fields being an important part of crude oil reservoirs play an important role in oil and gas fields development. It is very important and necessary for Complicated fault-block reservoir to study remaining oil distribution and enhancing oil recovery .In this paper, Beginning from basic characteristics of fault-block oil fields and applying modern reservoir fine description, 3D quantitative geological models of MaChang fault-block oil field are set up. In addition, using modern reservoir engineering methods we perform dynamic analysis of MaChang fault-block oil field. Further more, remaining oil distribution is studied by means of dynamic-static comprehensive analysis and reservoir simulation. Lastly, on basis of reservoir fine description and remaining oil distribution , development indexes of both directional well and hydrodynamics mainly adjustable methods are demonstrated. Main achievements as following:(1)Applying modern reservoir fine description, Flow units of MaChang fault-block oil field are further subdivized. Its sedimentary microfacies are analized. An understanding breakthrough of its reservoir structure is acquired, and 3D geological models of MaChang fault-block oil field are set up. (2)Using modern reservoir engineering methods , Producing degree of water flooding reserves and recoverable reserves and rising laws of water-cut and development state are systematicly evaluated and predicted. (3) On basic of reliable 3D quantitative geological models, combining development status of fault-block oil field, 7 possible swept mode of injection water is the first attempt to be established. By means of dynamic-static comprehensive analysis, macro remaining oil distribution qualitatively is studied and by reservoir simulation method, remaining oil distribution and its laws are determined.(4)On basis of reservoir fine description and remaining oil distribution of MaChang fault-block reservoirs, combining its geological characteristics and development status and Producing degree of every flow unit, thinking and method of enhancing oil recovery are determined. In addition, development indexes of both directional well and hydrodynamics mainly adjustable methods are demonstrated. A new productivity formula of horizontal well is put forward. Field trials show that research approach of the thesis is reliable, practical, operational and universal.
