PartⅠRetrospective Study on ACS (Acute Coronary Syndrome)ObjectiveTo summarize the clinic features and regular patterns in the syndromesof TCM of ACS.MethodsUsing a retrospective study design to investigate the patients withACS. 127 cases with ACS ranging from 39 to 84 years old were enrolled in thisstudy, including 89 males and 38 females. The syndromes of TCM of ACS wereclassified by 9 kinds of syndromes: cold syndrome, heat syndrome, phlegmsyndrome, blood stasis syndrome, deficiency of qi, deficiency of heart-yin, anddeficiency of heart and kidney, etc. The clinic patterns of syndrome wereclassified by blood stasis blocking the heart, obstruction of turbidphlegm, accumulation of yin cold, deficiency of qi and yin, and dificiency ofyang qi. The four diagnostic information of all patient was colected andestablished its database, and then the clinic features and regular patternsin the syndromes of TCM of ACS was summarized.Results(1) The distribution of the syndromes of TCMof ACS:of all the syndromes, blood stasis syndrome is the most popular sthenia syndrome(90.5%),anddeficiency of qi is the most popular asthenia syndrome(75.6%).(2) Of all the patterns of syndromes of ACS, blood stasis blocking the heartis the most popular pattern of syndromes. By being compared with each other, the pattern of blood stasis blocking the heart is more popular in AMI, and thepattern of obstruction of turbid phlegm and the pattern of deficiency of qiand yin are more popular in UA.(3) The syndromes of most cases had changes in the duration of hospitalstage, and only 21 patients had no significant changes. ConclusionThe syndromes of TCM of ACS are compound and asthenia syndromes andsthenia syndromes usually present in the same patient of ACS. Blood stasisand deficiency of qi are the most popular kinds of syndromes. The changing ofthe syndromes of TCM is another clinic feature of ACS.PartⅡClinical Study on TCM Interfering the Inflammatory Reaction of ACSObjectiveTo observe the effect of TCM on the Inflammatory Reaction of ACS and studyit' s mechanism.Methods63 patients with ACS were divided into two groups:the treated group(including 32 patients) and the controlled group (including 31 patients), andthe basic makings up of the two groups are comparable, P>0.05. The controlledgroup was given with standard treatments of western medicine, and the treatedgroup was given with TCM combined with the standard treatments of westernmedicine as given to the controlled group above. The period of treatmentwas two weeks. To observe the effects of different treatments onthepatients, Items such as syndromes, the times of cardiac incidents, the levelof CRP et al, were examined before treatment and after treatment.Results(1) The syndromes of TCM of ACS: after being treated, the scores of clinicalsymptoms of the patients in two groups were reduced much and the clinicalsymptoms of two groups were improved effectively. As compared with thecontrolled group, the reduction of the scores of clinical symptoms in thetreated group is more significant, p<0.01.(2) The times of cardiac incidents:compared with the controlled group, thetimes of cardiac incidents of the treated group is much less(62 to 99),andthe difference comes from the times of common cardiac incidents(54 to 92),notfrom the times of serious cardiac incidents(8 to 7).(3) The level of CRP:after the treaatment, the level of CRP of each groupwas both lower than that of the before, p<0.01, and the extent of the reductionof the CRP level in the treated group was more significant than that of thecontrolled group, p<0.05.Conclusion The treatment of TCM has better effects on patients with ACS. After theTCM treatment, the level of CRP was much significantly reduced. Theactive suppression on the inflammatory reaction of ACS may be one mechanismof TCM in treating patients with ACS.
