Studies Of Orthodontic Tooth Rotation And Speeding Up The Rates Of Tooth Movement

This research work consisted of two parts, Which were studies of orthodontic tooth rotation and Promoting the rates of tooth movement.The first part involved in animal experiment, clinical study and investigation of epidemiologic Problems.Both of rotation of single-root and multi-root teeth have been conducted. Apart from orthodontic experiments, Surgical immediate torsion of teeth were investigated.Works of this study were described as follows:1. We have got the rates of the rotation about dog's single-root and monkey's multi-root teeth as well as those human canines and premolars.These results were achieved for the first time.We put forward the suitable moments for rotation of human's teeth.2. Histological study was systematically carried out. Remodeling of Periodontium was studied with light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.Moreover,we observed the elastic fibers of Periodontal Ligament ( PDL) by special staining. The results were satisfactory,Which showed histological Changes resulted from tooth rotation were complex and extensive.Periodontiua of adjacent teeth could definitely be affected, such as,PDL hyalinization, root resorption, Periodontal tissue remodeling actively and collagen fibers disorder and so on.The degree of the disorder of PDL was different.the closer to the neck of tooth, the more serious the disorders were.Root resorption occured in the upper part instead of the apical part,which was different from the other types of tooth movement.Undermining bone resorption and hyalinization of PDL...
