Electrochemotherapy(ECT) was an anti-tumor treatment that utilizes locally delivered electric pulses to increase cytotoxicity of chemotherapeutic drugs. At present, ECT is widely used in clinic therapy on cancer i.e. Melanoma Basalioma. We have invented energy controllable steep pulse(ECSP) apparatus which can generate steep pulsed electric fields. We had confirmed that as a physiotherapy, steep pulse can result in cell pyknosis, karyolysis, karyokinesis, thrombogenesis. And we had discovered that ECSP had a killed or inhibited effects on cancer and improved the survival status of tumor-bearing mice, the survival period of tumor-bearing mice be prolonged. Blood vessel metastasis and lymphatic metastasis is the important pathway of the tumor metastasis. If killing the tumor cell as well as disrupting the blood vessel of target area, the possibility of the rest tumor cell via blood vessel metastasizing into other area would be decreased. Immune functions are known to be close to the tumor growth and metastasis, improving or recovering the host immune functions can inhibited the tumor growth and metastasis.
