Aim: HMGA2 belongs to the HMG (high mobility group) protein family .The HMG family of protein are small non histone nuclear proteins which play an important role in the regulation of chromatin structure and function as a architectural factor to mediate structural changes in DNA. The HMGA2 gene is localized to chromosome 12 band ql5 region and often rearranges in benign mesenchymal tumors. However HMGA2 dysregulation as a result of specific rearrangement involving 12ql5, the chromosomal site in which the HMGA2 gene was localized and also identified in breast cancer. Considerable interest has recently been shown in HMGA2, its expression is involved in neoplastic tumors and apparently in tumorigenesis, whereas no expression could be found in normal tissue adjacent to the tumor. 1997,Piere et al found HMGA2 was highly expressed in human infiltrating breast carcinomas but not expressed in normal or benign breast tissues by Northern blot analysis.By detecting HMGA2 gene expression in different breast tissuejudging its specific and sensitivity,evaluating the clinical revelance of HMGA2 gene expression in breast cancer development and progression and its correlation with clinical parameters,we try to find out the regulation of HMGA2 gene expression establish a new specific tumor marker of breast .To make a correct and believable assessing of the prognosis of breast cancer,we follow up all the cases in... |
