| The magnitude of external forces is very vital for life of teeth, especially the biting force exists during restoring and orthodontic force while teeth moved.External forces loaded on teeth can cause a series of biological response when passed and dispersed into alveolar bone through the periodontal ligament. Periodontal ligament fibroblasts (PDLF), acting as main functional cells, play a key role in the remolding process of periodontal tissues. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the effect on biological response and signaling pathways of mechanical forces in PDLF.Objectives:To investigate the effect of different kinds of mechanical forces on the protein synthetic function and the mRNA expression of I -type collagen, fibronectin, and integrins β1 subunit in cultured human periodontal ligament fibroblasts(hPDLF).The structural changes of cytoskeleton by mechanical forces should also be studied. The changes of biological behavior of hPDLF by dynamic mechanical forces and the signal transduction mediated by integrins were explored. Which provided... |
