Jixueteng is one of the Chinese traditional medicines, which could HuoXueHuaYu. It is distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other province in China. Jixueteng is used to treat lumbago, paralysis, emmeniopathy, etc. Modern pharmacological studies on Jixueteng indicate that it could restrain the congregate of blood platelet, reduce blood pressure and anti-arrhythmia, etc. In clinic, Jixueteng is also used to treat the disease of blood cells decrease induced by radiotherapy , chemotherapy or hematology diseases.The studies on the origin of Jixueteng are confused. Until 1995, Pharmacopoeia of PRC(1995 edition) describe Jixueteng as the dry rattan of Spatholobus suberectus Dunn. Analogously, the studies on the component of Jixueteng are also completely deficient. Dates indicate few elementary analysis on the chemic component of Jixueteng and the effective component of Jixueteng is unclear. Although Pharmacopoeia of PRC(1995 edition) establish one of the distinguishing criterion of Jixueteng by check the amount of Formononetin, it can not be considered as the effective component promoting hematopoiesis. Because of the unclear chemical component of Jixueteng, the hematopoietic promoting mechanisms of Jixueteng are also indistinct.Aim at those statuses, this paper systematically studies on the substance of Jixueteng that could promot hematopoiesis at first. We separate and obtain the effective component of Jixueteng which can promote hematopiesis by organic solvent extraction, silica gel and gelatin separating. And we identify the structure of the effective component promoting hematopiesis of Jixueteng by LC/MS, IR and NMR. On the base of studies above, this paper then investigate the hematopoietic promoting mechanism of the effective component, and we primarily make sure the mechanisms by applying multi animal model and adopting the analytical method of...
