| Objects: Making definitely the possibility of developing rat models of hyperkinetic pulmonary hypertension . Established the methods of developing this kind of rat models with microsurgery technical. Evaluating the rat models in the pathology and pathophysiology view. Observing the endothelial nitric oxide synthase gene expression of the rat's lung both in pulmonary hypertension and low pulmonary blood flow situation. Methods: Under the common anesthesia, breathing the rats with a small animal ventilator, isolated the common left jugular artery from the neck incision and then, left thoracotomy was performed in all groups. For the group I: the common left jugular artery was pulled into thoracic cavity along the way of this artery and anastomosed with the pulmonary trunk in the end to side way. Group II: anastomosed the common left jugular artery with the pulmonary trunk in the similar way as Group I, in the same time, ligation the left pulmonary artery with a silk string. Group III : sham operation , including the procedure of dissecting the left common jugular artery and left thoracotomy. Group IV: after the left thoracotomy, the anastomosis between the thoracic aorta and isolated left pulmonary artery was made. 9 weeks later of being operated, all group of rats were measured the pulmonary pressure and right ventricular pressure with a polyethylene catheter inserted into the common right jugular vein.
