Literature Study On Miraculous Pivot

Miraculous Pivot was also named Jiujuan or Zhenjing in ancient times. It was made up of nine volumes, and merged into eighteen volumes with Plain Questions. The Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic includes main parts of Plain Questions and Miraculous Pivot, though its original edition had lost. The becoming book of Miraculous Pivot can be summarized by "the materials being drawn from the pre-Qin days, published in the Western Han Dynasty, and supplemented in the Eastern Han Dynasty".From the Han Dynasty, Miraculous Pivot has been named Jiujuan, Zhenjing, Jiuling, Jiuxu et al. But those disappeared mostly in the beginning of the Northern Song Dynasty in 1092 A.D. the government published The Yellow Emperor's Zhenjing from Gaoli country. During the period of the South Song and Jin Dynasty, Zhenjing had lost in the southern region, the government published Miraculous Pivot handed down from the older generations of Shi Song's family in 1155 A.D. And this edition was rapidly spread in the southern part of the country. Edition of Zhenjing was spread in the northern region of the country. Subsequently, Zhenjing edition was instead of Miraculous Pivot. In the Ming and Qing Dynasty, Miraculous Pivot edition was popularized widely in society.At first, Miraculous Pivot has nine volumes, latterly, it has ten or twelve volumes, but it was mainly nine volumes. Shi Song divided it into twenty-four volumes. But twenty-four volumes merged into twelve volumes in the Yuan Dynasty. So, it was mainly nine volumes in the Ming and Qing Dynasty.From the Han Dynasty, Miraculous Pivot has been studied by many researchers, and been quoted in many books. It has many editions in successive dynasties.
