Studies On The Inverse-resistance Of Eurya Plants In Zhejiang And Anhui Districts

Eurya are plentiful in Zhejiang and Anhui Province, including 12 types and one variety. After successive cultivation, reproduction and experiments on inverse-resistance of the following six representatives, E. emarginata, E. japonica, E. muricata, E. hebeclados, E. rubiginosa var. attenuata and E. alata, the results are as follows: (1)The respective temperatures causing the six species of Eurya half dead are worked out by applying logistic equation and conductivity,which are listed below: E. emarginata -9.2℃,E. japonica -14.9 ℃, E. alata -17.9 ℃,E. rubiginosa var. attenuata -21.9 ℃, E. hebeclados -20.8℃,E. muricata -25℃. Thus their nature of cold resistance can be deluded preliminarily like this: E. emarginata < E. japonica < E. alata < E. hebeclados < E. rubiginosa var. attenuata E. japonica > E. hebeclados >E. emarginata>E. muricata>E. alata. Their light compensation point is increased with the increase of carbon dioxide's light compenasation point, declined with the increase of the relative activity of RuBP and positively related to the maximum net photosynthesis ratio. And negative correlation with AQP. (3) According to the comprehensive salt tolerance of the seven numerical traits: the proline speed, the stomatal conductance,the intercellular density of carbon dioxide,the chlorophl,Na+/K+, the membrane permeability, the praline, the result are as follows: E. emarginata>E. japonica>E. muricata>E. hebeclados>E. rubiginosa var. attenuata. (4)The Eurya is a native evergreen tree species to the south of Yangzi River. It is characterized by strong herringbone branching pattern, dark green leaves, high degree of adaptation and ornaments, tolerance to stress resistance and trimming resistance.It can be used as ground cover , hedge, flowers, trunk bonsai and bee plants. It is one of the potential evergreen ornamental tree for the landscaping in eastern China, particularly in Zhejiang and Anhui provinces.
